I like both companies and the lights they produce Tim. In my crazy mind I can justify buying both of these and actually finding use for both given Thrunite’s longer throw with the Saber. Thanks for the review Brother! 🐐
I can certainly convince myself I need another light to fill another roll somewhere. God forbid I have a table, pack or pocket without a light on it or in it. 🤣🤣🤣
Yep, I have several+ I5r's, but now have 4 Sabers, the Saberis best for an aux maintenance light I use in a automotive shop, I5r I prefere for normal aux edc. I say a7x as I always carry a 18650 light as main light. Oth are great and you can not go wrong with either.
Thanks to your reviews, I’ve become a huge fan of THRUNITE, and when I’m on their website I have a hard time going away with just one light. At those prices, why fight it? Thanks, and be well my friend.
The Olight is heavily regulated to get better run times, especially when using an AA. I get the Olight for non-flashlight people, because they’re not likely to buy additional 14500 batteries.
The ramping on the saber is very frustrating. If you ramp up half way and then decide you need more juice you cannot continue upwards. Nope! You have to go back to zero and start again. 🤦🏼♂️ Can you imagine if you were driving across country to a destination and then you wanted to continue in the same direction but you have to go all the way back home and then come back again ! 😅
