@@aaronegro Errm it’s possibly a little small, but from the 1 single seater I’ve driven I’d say it feels fairly close. Ive never driven a GT3 or anything proper so couldn’t compare with that 😂
@@lastplacemotorsport8510 I might get the Replica Sparco just for that reason but the fact this wheel is very lightweight helps force feedback and I really like that
@@aaronegro Yeah the Sparco rim would go perfect on your TS-XW! I made the mistake of going too big and heavy when I modded my old G920. I put a cheap 350mm deep dish on it and the low torque of that unit just ruined the overall feel
Thanks :) Not sure I'd go so far as "great" though haha!! I'll make some new videos soon, I promise. Having... "original idea" issues at the moment though...
Sooo first of all, Great video! And i also have a question: i am planning to but the "Thrustmaster T248" bequase it fits in my price and its good for what i have seen! (This is gonna be my first wheel for F1) But for later on i want to buy the add on from this video, but i was wondering if this wheel can go with the thrustmaster 240! Maybe you know, :D Cause its quite handy to know if i want to buy it. On google it says the T500 and T300 bur nit the T248 but it IS a T model. It really helps me if you can answer me and just want to say keep it up! 💪🏻
I use 3 similar wheels, this open wheel, the alcantara Ferrari and the 28gt leather, all has the same button configuration, so no worry which wheel attached. I use the open and the Ferrari with gloves, but if dont want to where them i use the leather
Did you just say it won't win you championships or shave your lap times or put you atop the lesser boards? I know people who make world records with this wheel and the g29 lol being good doesn't have to do withbwhat you use all sre able to compete with rhe best of them as long as the input is enough to tell you what's going on I don't race any better with my cswv2.5 then I do my t300rs that statement just had no fact to it man you can grt just as good of a lap time with practice just like buying a dd wheel won't improve your time and yes you cna be atop leader boards eith this and a g29 some of the best racers still use a g29 lol I love the rest of the review tho just the ending put me off a bit lol I want all people to know they can get anything with ok ffb and do just as well as anybody else no matter what and this includes the wheel rim it no rim makes you better lol the main thing in a kit is the brake/pedals those can make you more consistent but you can truely be good with anything with practice lol
Absolutely, 100% agree! I probably worded it badly; I meant this rim won't make any difference in comparison to just using the default rim that comes with the Thrustmaster base :) Completely with you that lap times come from practice, not from gear!
2024. I still use this wheel. New ones look so good but I don’t use a lot of buttons and I’m a hack so I never upgrade. I put magnets on my paddles and and tennis racket tape on the handles to make them thicker. I forgot they had that originally.
Got mine sitting on my desk waiting for my T300 base to get here on the 5th, went went fanatec pedals though for the customizable spacing, cant wait to get back to racing
Loved the last bit where you went off the track 😀. Got this with the TS-XW base and thrust master load cell pedals on a soon to be delivered got omega Titan. I only miss some 3 or 4 cm extra diameter to get my hands comfier. Also the default mapping in pc is counter intuitive, unlike in XsX. It would be nice if the turning ratios would match between platforms instead of making me work by feeling while I set it up. But overall I think I give it a B+
thankyou good vid that gave good info about its build the f1 one looks so cheap on the pictures and costs more.. i only need 3 buttons really so ill go for this
It won't unfortunately... all the fitment etc is very different. When I had a G920 though, I was seriously tempted with one of these kits: acelith.com/collections/logitech-g29-mods/products/mod-f1-style-rim-for-logitech-g920 You have to disassemble your existing rim which isn't too scary a job and bolt this on top instead of the stock rim. It won't be easily "swappable" on the fly, but if you're planning on sticking with one rim, might be worth a looky?
hi, did you end up getting the addon? i was thinking of buying for my christmas later on for f1 2021 and was wondering how it was. Also what wheel base to use with it.
