The cable on the back off the pedals platform from the Logitech is braking between the pedals and the wall. This is why i have to buy a new steering wheel. On the Trusmaster is the cable cumming from the left or right side much better.
Thanks for the review. I watched this a month ago and then bought one after watching this. If I may ask a question. When turning the wheel, I noticed that you can feel tiny vibrations, as if there are tiny wheels inside. Turns a cog and then stops. Each one seems to be 1 degree when turning (3 mm) So moving from left to right, it vibrates by almost grinding on the cogs, does any ones else have a similar experance with it. It is my first wheel, so was noy sure what to expect. Thanks
How things working out now.. I noticed this aswell and wondering if this is just hot they are with a belt and if it will smooth out a bit with use. Please let me know what you think or found out as this is my only wheel I've used and have no clue how it should be.
This is a GREAT review. Thank you. I assume you can program those buttons anyway you like, depending on the game you're playing. I'm not a racer, but a Euro Truck, American Truck, and City Car Driving person, myself. Thanks again.
I ordered the pedals on their own for 125$ usd and I’m gonna pair them with my t300. They look far superior than my T3pa pedals and I’m a huge fan of the HEART tech. I’m not a fan of load cell so these look to help the best I can get without load cell. Can’t wait! Game changer time! Forza horizon 5 anyone? Mega stoked!!
Hi Jason, great review again. Personally I think Thrustmaster made a great entry wheel that will smash the competition with Logitech G-series. If you are new into sim-racing, I guess this is a great option. Would recommend it above the T80 T150 and even the T300. Just because of the better pedals and the magnetic shifters ( it’s normal that they make more noise ). But with this new product of Thrustmaster you can argue a lot about the T-GT2 , it’s price point. Why has there flagship worse pedals then the new wheel, why doesn’t have magnetic shifters and a display like the entry wheel. Would like to hear your thoughts on that. Kind regards.
I agree about the pedals being superior but the t300 is a big leap better. I’m buying the pedals to pair with my t300. It’s faster, stronger ffb, super smooth being all belt driven and you can change out the rims. The t300 is way better than the t248, but the t3pm pedals are way better than the T3pa. Once I get my t3pm pedals with my t300 I believe I’ll have the best midrange setup thrustmaster has available.
How loud is the FFB and rumble? I had to stop using my G29 as it's too loud and as I'm upstairs I get shouted out by the missus because it's all she can hear. Hopefully this is better with the hybrid tech and the drive belt.
I’ve had about 4 wheels base. And this is good. It’s great as a matter of fact. I had the club sport 2.0 had to sell it and then 8 months later I get this and I’m really happy !! I’ve had t300 tmx I’ll it if wheels and this thing just works ! Plug and and play no issue with wrc 9 and horizon 5 and dirt it just works. I’m really happy
Biggest con seems to be paddle shifters, but I wonder if someone will create a mod to fix that. I have a feeling this wheel will become popular if it gets discounted from MSRP. Looks better than the Logitechs.
Just ordered one a few weeks ago! Looking forward to getting it as my G29’s starting to feel it’s age now. Tbh, I like the paddle shifters being loud as it reminds me of the Fanatec CSR wheel I had many years ago but I understand it’s not for everybody. Also hear that the pedals aren’t reliant on a potentiometer anymore so should hopefully be much more reliable as well.
Welcome to the thrustmaster family! You won’t miss Logitech, promise. Cheers. Oh and don’t forget to snag a Th8a shifter and tss sparco handbrake mod! They are all fully metal and will last you through every wheel you ever get in the years to come. ✌🏼
Just purchased myself, wheel does seem notchy when turning like grinding cogs also using solely on ps whats best way of updating to latest firm where as not 100% sure given as my first wheel used
Hi mate. You need to go into the 'System' options within the game. Put the shared memory to Project Cars 2, the UDP to 4 and also the protocol to PC2. I hope this helps.
Thanks I did just try that and still no luck I don’t know what else it could be ? That was one of the features I liked about this wheel and it’s not working 😅
Looks like a solid wheel thinking about finally starting sim racing but the clicks for the gear changes sounds pretty loud though like your videos man been watching for a long time now
I had a g29 but the pedals broke due to the potentiomiter. I was going to get this wheel anyway to replace the g29 and you convinced me even more with this review. Also I'm not sure if you can answer this question but do you know if it works on 'on the road' the truck game. You do not have to answer that question but thank you anyway. Have a good day.
I purchased my thrustmaster T248 wheel last week because my Logitech G29 kept disengaging while playing American Truck Simulator causing me to crash all the time, let me say the thrustmaster wheel feels great and you have better control while driving. I love the digital display on the steering wheel itself, lets you see the RPM’s, Tachometer, MPH speed etc………..I never heard of the “on the road” truck game but I do know the wheel is compatible with PC where you American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator on steam.
Great unboxing! 🤗 It looks like a really nice wheel. I like that it was soft on the outside and hard on the inside. (A bit like me then! 😃) I've only owned a F1 wheel and I didn't enjoy it at all. I maybe have too short fingers or something but I had difficult to reach the buttons on that wheel. Enjoy your new wheel and take care. (^_^=)
