Thank you so much for this Video. It will help me (one day, when the feature is at last available) to tune the item perfectly for my SIM. Well done Blackbox, as you do it always!
i know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Wells Jaxton thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you for the good coverage of the TCA throttles! I am glad to hear your voice again (as I moved completely to MSFS 2020 and you have not yet done videos for that one). Now, that the A320 stands on a much better level with FlyByWire I fly it more and more. Even the ATSU functions now, although partially. Please, make more videos on the A32XX family for MSFS 2020. Frohes Weihnachten und ein ganz gutes neues Jahr 2021!
Hi. Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately there are still many bugs and issues with the A320 NEO. Yes, the FBW team is doing an incredible job to improve the addon, however MSFS is focusing on many other things, but missing cruical improvements in the airliners.
@@Blackbox711 does the throttle detents by default match up with the sim on MSFS? Because in FBW mod dev build, which include their custom fly by wire algorithm and autopilot. It require custom text file configurations to have the detents matched up. ps: I've been flying with FBW development build since their custom fly by wire and autopilot is a massive improvement.
I cancelled my order way back. So Annoyed that you tubers got their free versions to advertise to more customers that cannot get their orders fulfilled :/
Ya amazon was bullshit. I pre-order right away. 4 weeks later I had no item. When people who ordered after me got there's from Amazon. I called amazon and the dumb bitch only had a response of we don't have any. I said no shit that's why I pre-ordered it duh so where is it. All she could say is we don't have stock. These are junk anyway. Happier with my honeycomb yoke and throttle instead.
It's pretty crazy that the addon has been basically out of stock since it came out. Like what is thrustmaster currently doing? Surely they must be manufacturing SOME
@@overratedprogrammer Worldwide production capacity has been at 100% for almost two years due to spikes in demand. This spike was for the most part fueled by Covid-19 measures. Manufacturing chips is immensely complex and only done by a handful of manufacturers. Opening a new plant takes a couple of years of planning and a couple of billion USD of investment. Manufactures believe that they'll open new plants by the end of 2022 or early 2023. After that you'd need to produce the chips, which in itself takes about 6 months. Guess we'll have to wait just a little bit longer for our playthings :)
Thanks for the information. You can't buy the quadrant let alone the add on. As an FYI Newegg is charging some very high prices for the stuff they have. Amazon also but not quite so bad. I'm on the wait list at B&H which is still advertising MSRP prices but are completely out of everything. Some things can be ordered for a premium with that are shipped directly from China but these deals are always somewhat sketchy.
I scored a new Airbus Joystick on E-bay last night for $99 with free shipping and it shipped this morning. I also bid on a set of used pedals which will come in at about the same if I win the bid. The $99 Joysticks are still listed as of this morning if anyone wants one. I planed on a yoke set up but I'm not willing to pay 2-3X MSRP. If things come down more later I'll add a Honeycomb yoke and throttles. But at least I'll have a starter set up. NewEgg still has reasonably good deals on pre-built machines with 3070 cards and i7-10700 K CPU. Although I bought mine on Cyber Monday for $200 off the normal prices isn't too bad. Shipping has been slow but it's finally on the truck.
I wonder if those throttle lever detents would interfere when using a C-152 or other planes. I was also thinking of getting another quadrant for a 4-engine setup. Oh well...It wasn't expensive.
Good question and well asked. I bought this to practise some flying at home and I forgot the detents are even there after locking away the reversers. I have used them for the bush trips, FS Academy VFR and FS Voyager marketplace packages. I intent on moving on to the Airbus since I fly on one (KC-30A) for work and is nice to have a very similar stick feel. READ HERE: BUT if you were going to stick it with just Cessna and Beechcraft I'd recommend the Honeycomb yolk and quadrant bundle once they come back into stock in several months which would give you some time to start saving.
@@jamesk7777 On FS2004 and prev, I've downloaded and flown as many different planes as possible. The Honeycombs would be the only time I've flown a configuration since when I got my Private and kind of pricey and cumbersome. I was just hoping I could use the Thrustmaster set for Airbus'es *and* many other types of planes. I guess so!..
Thrustmaster are sitting on a gold mine there, you would think they would put a bit more effort into it, obviously not that bothered about making any cash!, bung the stick/quadrant/flaps and brake in a box, £250, and people will bite their hands off!
@@samey8960 They've said repeatedly that they are trying to get them out as fast as possible. You have to realize that these things are designed months or years ahead of time and no one expected a pandemic. The number of people stuck at home for the pandemic AND the popularity of the MSFS2020 release that far exceeded anyone's expectations led to the shortages on all flight sim hardware from every brand, not just Thrustmaster.
Looks nice, but I’m thinking sometime in 2021 (late ‘21 that is) we might actually have a chance to buy it, and also to pay somewhat normal prices. Good to see it though. Edit: As of March 2021, I managed to pick up the Stick and Throttle but not the side add-ons for merely MSRP, $169 USD. They're starting to get out there. Setup was just ok for X-Plane, but I got it, and promptly made a video tutorial so it need not be so hard to calibrate.
Nice, if at least a single product of this TCA series would be available anywhere, since they came out. And I don't know of anybody else in the airliner-sim community who has got one of these, except a few people, who doing promotional stuff with it! I really don't care, if I have to wait some days or even 1-2 weeks, but it's nearly 4 months now, to find NONE of them anywhere. Anyone here, who has got one? If so, pls tell us from where you got it, thanks in advance! ;)
@@NipapornP He's likely a troll. No one, outside of some RU-vidrs, has the add-ons yet. They were released for sale in the US on Nov 26 (so you could buy them) but they won't start shipping to resellers until next week. They won't be for sale outside the US until next week.
No trim wheel killing me :/ This would cost them like $2 to add a wheel with potentiometer to have a trim wheel like Airbus has. Because of this, I'm going to buy a Honeycomb product - all in one without add-ons and with working wheel.
hi, thanks for the nice video. I have a problem, in the settings in Xplane, the button n ° 25 (parking brakes off) does not appear. In fact, in the control of the parking brakes, I only have the No. 14 (parking brakes on) In your video, at 2.25 minutes I see that the 25th appears to you too.
You can at least buy the side stick now for less than $100. The throttle is available but it’s still pricy. Can’t wait until the side levers become available.
I ordered the Thrustmaster TCA Officer Pack Airbus Edition from Microsoft in August.....It still hasn't shipped. I looked on-line at other resellers and their expected arrival date for this is April 2021. You gotta be kidding!
@Ryan K Me too. Ordered the Officers pack in July, pure vaporware! Besides $100 for the throttle, $100 for the addon, AND $70 for the desk clamp, a total of $270.00! Cheap plastic, and very small. Honeycomb Bravo for $250 has all the above included and MORE! Easy choice. Don't know about Honeycomb support but it could not be worse than trashmasters!
I see you have to still arm the spoilers on approach by clicking and dragging up with the mouse? Not part of the function on the flap lever to arm them I guess?
It's a bit of a shame that it appears the TCA Quadrant spoiler lever cannot be lifted to arm the ground spoilers directly. I hope Thrustmaster can do something in the next revision to rectify this crucial oversight.
Awesome stuff Blackbox! What scenery do you have going there? Orbx+ what else for P3D? Hoping you’ll get a honeycomb bravo to check out. I’m working on the autopilot module now
@@ckreuzbichler do you know when amazon gets a hold of them, I was able to pre order it through them so its not the overpriced resale, but they’re saying they will ship it when it is sent to them and I ordered it last month.
Hi BB. Thanks for the video. Would you happen to know how your button 9 & 10 for the throttles are mapped to crank and ignition? Mines don't have the option. Not sure if I miss-configured something but I can't even map it to those selections. Appreciate any thoughts here.
Hi BB711, In the video you mentioned FSUIPC needing a "small work around", and I think I am stuck on the issue you mentioned yet cannot find anything on what the work around is. I have everything configured properly and it works with P3D input, but with FSUICP assigned axis the reversers just wont go all the way down. Have you posted, or do you know of any posts that address this Sir? Thank you very much! (Also, love your videos, they are so helpful, really appreciate you making them!)
Hi! I did the calibration along with the quadrant add-on. When I ran the MFS 2020 and took the A320 to fly the flaps and spoilers were inverted... The flaps and spoilers at position 0 are "full" and at position 1 they are at 0 degrees and disarmed. The rest of the positions are also inoperable (everything remains at "0"). Can anyone help me?
Oh. Can anybody help me with getting the thrust reverser to work, I have installed the updates, and held down buttons 12 and 6 while plugging the USB into my PC, and done it again, but still I cant get the reverser to function. It did work when I first got the joystick. Have I done anything unknowingly to disable the reverser function.
Ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass der Parkbremsen-Hebel ein wenig einrastet, zumindest durch einen Federzug leicht arretiert wird. Beim Flapslever müssten ebenfalls leichte Detents spürbar sein.
Great Video! Can you tell me if I can use the throttle and joystick on any other plane, including Boeing planes? It would be useful because then I know if I should sell my old joystick or keep it.
Yes it will work on Boeing planes. You may want to configure it without the detents (it tells you how to do that in the instructions), but otherwise should work.
Hi BB711, nice presentation (as usual), spoilers ARM/DISARM function is not implemented, this is a real miss. A/BRK selector seems to be useless for A320's (ok it's A350 style), but we should be able to program it against A320 A/BRK levels i.e. LO/LO, 2,3/MED, HI/TO. TM's choice to implement rudder trim and rudder trim reset is not the best, barely used in real life, I would prefer L/G gravity extension function. Finally a question : Are the indicators on either side of the mode selector functional? (FIRE/FAIL) Despite all my remarks I consider to invest in this product for the increased immersion level offered for a reasonable price.
Hi. I agree with your comments. A lot could have been modeled better. And unfortunately there are no FIRE lights indicators below the start switches are also not functional.
Still waiting for mine to arrive. Promised in Sept, Oct Nov and yesterday. Still nothing. SO looking forward to using it, but I might just spend a bit more and get the available Honeycomb unit instead. I do have the joystick which after the updates works very well. Just disappointed in Thrustmaster still advertising this unit when its so unavailable.
@@wpbleee Hi. I ordered it from Amazon back in August. I received the Airbus joystick, and was impressed with it, I then came across the throttle quadrant and ordered it. Had I have known at the time about the, (Officers pack? the joystick and quadrant pack). I would have ordered that instead.
Do you have problem with the flaps and speedbrake levers? when I am trying to move to flaps one, in xplane it directly go to flaps full, same for the speedbrakes. do you know any solution for this?
Apart from pulling up to arm the ground spoilers the real speedbrake lever has only one detent which is at half travel. You might find it interesting that with the autopilot engaged on an A320, the speedbrake will only deploy to 50% even if you move the lever beyond halfway. You must be flying manually to extend the spoilers more than 50%. However, the A321 will give you full speedbrake authority with the autopilot engaged.
How can I make it look like this in my P3D Fslabs and how to move in the cockpit like this , is it a special camera ? i really need to practice asap , scared to go to a sim after all this time off :( ,, i bought all these recently and it's taking me so long to just understand the settings but.. .any help please from any prof simmers here .... thanks a million guys.... x x !
Hi Blackbox711 can you tell me how have you configurate your axe for the spoilers please ? Because I’ve got some problems with mine for the fslabs on P3D V5
Hello Paolo. I did that through P3D spoiler axis if I remember correctly. The issue is that the lever movement is not uniform since the spoiler axis has 3 or 4 button positions and not a true axis.
Trashmaster officer pack never available for purchase. This is on be half of trashmaster we love to show off products we can send for free but if you want to buy one try to find 1.
Sorry to hear that you are so upset about this. But I am neither working for Thrustmaster nor are they reading your comments. So it might make more sense you address this directly to Thrustmaster.
How about for fs2crew users? Would it still make sense to buy? Would be nice to know if the gear lever in down position for example would be interfering with the FO‘s gear up input.
Unfortunately a lot of peripheral producers have supply issues at the moment. For Europe the official release date for the addon is apparently the 26th of December
