The first 10 minutes gotta be the most terrifying and disturbing moment i've come to witness across media and considering how distorted Erens idea of freedom is really elevates the horror.
True I've seen a video that talks about Isayama's mindset when writing Eren's character and that blew my mind honestly. Eren from the very beginning has always been a genocidal maniac, and that made him really scary imo.
It does justify his actions. If he would not have taken this step Eldia was doomed. He started the rumbling bcuz he had no choice. And people who are seeing the rumbling right now are promising to themselves that they won't repeat the same mistakes. But like dapper said when the hard times pass the resolve weakens and people will go back to slaughtering in the name of race. I agree that there should have been an option to kill only the racist outsiders but unfortunately eren cannot pick who to kill. He has to kill all of them.i want to reveal more of the story but those would be major spoilers. So i would love this thread to be open after the final episode releases.
Same man. Hanji was one of my favorite. Her radical perspective on the titans, to discover more about them rather than outright fearing or hating them was refreshing and she always brought a different energy. When everyone’s anxious of death she’s always trying to find the absurd. 😢
so happy to see you reacting to AOT again. you're always giving the most natural and unpretentious reaction out of other youtubers, and that's why I like to watch you!
So good to see you back. I’ve been waiting for this reaction! Just wanted to share that the background music that was used for Hange’s scene is called “Bauklötze” and there’s a lyric saying, “We’ll fight until this hot wind takes our wings away”. And seeing Hange’s wings of freedom cape catching on fire was just heavy….
I knew this episode would be painful for you to watch especially the Hange's part, one of your fav...it was heartbreaking and your tears made me cry again...Love your reaction so much
You reaction on AOT never disappointed me! I am so glad to see your genuine love and reaction to this episode! Many reactors originally love and feel passion in AOT, but after a time of waiting and reacting to other shows, their memory and feeling to the series and characters in AOT is unavoidably weaker, but never in your case bro! You can still remember all the important details and feel strong in Hangi's death, just makes you reaction in AOT the best! Thank you so much! It is so satisfying to see your reaction!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

Dariiuuuusss!! I'm happy to see you're back. I've been waiting for this reaction to come out honestly. I hope you're doing lot better - Great reaction as usual!
What a HELL of an episode. An hour of nothing but carnage and despair. This is the most anticipated and considered the best episode of AOT, according to the fans that is and ig we can finally vouch too. Aside from Hange's heart-shattering sacrifice and all, We now see Erens perversion for freedom at full display, which I think is somewhat overlooked. There's more to it than just expressing his immense guilt infront of the child(Ramzi), He poured out his bottled up emotions by admitting the fact that he did what he did because of an unfulfilled dream and disappointment. Eren is, as Kenny would say, drunk on something, an idealistic freedom of a world beyond the walls that simply doesn't exist, Eren dreamed of an empty world without people, with rivers of lava, vast seas and deserts, a world to explore and discover, and instead there were people who had taken away his freedom. He internalized that idea of freedom based through the contents of Armins book, now that it doesn't exist, He initiated the rumbling primarily for the sake of that selfish desire. To him, It's far more important than saving the island, hence recontexualizing his speech that eradicating the world as his primary end goal is merely a pretext. in short, he's just like a child throwing a tantrum because he couldn't grab what he wants despite the guilt and all. Eren is the personification of contradiction, duality, and irony, be it his actions, emotions, dialogues, and the leitmotif encompassing his character. He's a god yet a devil, a victim and a perpetrator, Selfless for sacrificing his life for his loved ones yet Selfish for trampling on others lives for his desires, desires freedom yet a slave to his unfulfilled ideal freedom and nature, he's human yet a monster within. There's more to layers to explore to his view on freedom but yeah, Eren is just that brilliantly written.
For me, when Eren said he was disappointed that the world wasnt empty was a let down personally, and a bit of a cop out that, somehow, what hes doing here is fulfillig a fantasy that the world outside of the walls is uninhabited and therefore hes going to make it happen. From the perspective of a grown-ass person that has been shown to have compassion, this seems counterintuitive *IF* he can still decide differently. For me was a downgrade of his character writing. What I cling to hope for his character yet is, maybe Ymir granted him a monkeys paw and he cannot get her to stop, and fulfilling his role in this manner was always inevitable and the only way out for him is to take Ymir out with him, and thus killing all titans. As the Ghost-of-Ymirs in Paths and what Ramzi saw, I have a sneaking suspicion that Eren isnt even in the drivers seat. Ymir probably just needed her founding titan powers. I mean, why do pure titans attack only humans; seems to me that this is something that Ymir wants to do subconsciously through Paths.
When the concept of "the rumbling" was first introduced, I thought it sounded a bit silly in terms of it's ability to wipe out all life. The way though that it's illustrated does an unbelievable job at selling it and wiped all my doubts away at it's destructive capabilities. Even if you found a way to stay ahead of it for a time, vehicles would eventually run out of fuel, horses would run out of endurance, and humans would collapse in exhaustion. Sooner or later it would catch you. You couldn't just dodge their steps because the heat would literally melt your flesh off. Even if you hid underground and waited for it to pass, what would be left? Just a flattened scorched earth with no animals or vegetation to keep you alive. Say you even did manage to store provisions with you and attempt to rebuild. Nothing says Eren couldn't make another pass, or have them cycling the globe for eternity. It really is a terrifying thing to see animated.
Shinzou wo sasageyo Floch Forster. True patriot & great leader. Your loyalty and your determination are unbelievable. You won't be forgotten. You fulfilled your duty with honor & courage. Shame on traitors who sold their homeland.
"It's as you said, Floch. But we just can't give up...". Hange's words encompass one of the most important themes of Aot imo. There's truth to what Erwin and Kiyomi, that humans will continue to fight one another until the day there's one human or less. Even though the cycle of violence and hatred will always continue, we have to try our best not to perpetuate it and even if we can't, we have to keep trying and that's exactly what the scouts are trying to do. Because they actually had a hand in furthering the Rumbling by helping Eren get to Zeke. Aot has always had this recurring theme of having to make choices that one thinks they will regret the least. Stopping Eren is a decision that may or may not work out in their favor, but they just don't want to regret not stopping a genocide, which is completely understandable. The scouts represent what the Survey Corps stands for: fighting against insurmountable odds for even the slightest chance of an unrealistic idealist world. RIP Hange 🤍 you fulfilled your duty as a scout and commander
FINALLY somebody who pays respects to Hange's death with some tears. I did the same thing bro. I love Hange so much. It was a beautiful and heartbreaking scene
"Fiery water, lands of ice, sandy snowfields... anyone who saw those things would be the freest person in the world". Eren actually said the exact same dialogue back in Season 1 Episode 13 titled Primal Desire. It's one of my favorite callbacks of the entire series. How fitting is it that he says this as he looks out at the view of clouds before him blissfully ignorant of the carnage and devastation below. I think him reverting back to his child self is a coping mechanism for him to move forward. Btw the "See you later, Eren" scene actually happened in chapter 1 of the manga but WIT replaced it with different scenes. I'm so happy Mappa added it in. Can't want for your reaction to the final part!
I don't believe for a second that Erwin and the other fallen would have supported the traitors who betrayed their people and who send humanity inside the walls to annihilation except in the delusions of the wobbly scenario of Isayama. By the way, even on the verge of death, the only thing Floch thought about was saving his people/island and some brainwashed people talk about extremism ? Glory to traitors & RIP Commander Floch.
I really like your reaction and I'm a fan.Your sensibility is very nice.I'm looking forward to the reaction of the second part!I'm rooting for you from Japan.🥰
Hello! I am Japanese. I really like the reaction of your "attack on titan" and I always get emotional. In Japan, the reaction from overseas has been cut out.I'm happy to be able to watch the final season together.❤❤❤
connie:"annie has fought enough" reiner: Am I a joke to you?😂😂 but seriously, reiner wants to atone for his sins. floch did what he have to for the sake of paradis. grand exit for hange .RIP😢 she go out in a blaze of glory
Welcome back! After watching your videos translated into Japanese, I really like your passionate and rational reaction videos. You are my favorite reactor! (I only watch anime Damon Slayer and Attack on Titan.) A new chapter of Kimetsu no Yaiba will start in April, so I'm looking forward to your videos as if I'm enjoying the work with you!🤝✨
Levi season 3 against Kenny's squad. Lots of ODM gear killing lol. Season 4 the scouts against the yeagerist. RIP Hanji😢She was my baby. I cried so hard at this scene. I was so happy they show her burnt up like armin, that would have taken me out.
now that i think about, the rumbling arrived where they were first assembling the plane but eren was about an hour away from that place, just how long is that line of colossal titans
Even though I've read the manga, I must say MAPPA has done the scene very impactful, make me even more emotional than the manga. Still page have its limit.
Bro, you cut out so many of the good scenes: Eren saying "This is Freedom" Armin talking about eren to annie Other than that, really loved this reaction ❤
I'll say this about the Hitler comparisons, they are pretty far off once you dissect things thoroughly between this fictional story and the reality of that specific tyrant in real life. It is just way too common a thing now a days and honestly if I were to equate Eren to any specific tyrant of the 20th century I'd be more likely to evoke the name of Mao or Stalin than Hitler personally. Pol Pot could be another one but really none of them fit perfectly. A lot of that stuff I feel isn't as "memey" as you might think, but some kind of ridiculous moral virtue signaling by people who take fiction way too seriously. Back to the reaction.
