As I continue to pray for Nigeria while listening to this amazing song. I know God will fight for our brothers and sisters in Nigeria. Glory to King Jesus Christ 🙏❤️
Freedom Sengwayo composed and sang this song back in the 80's ....he was a Zimbabwean Gospel musician , but this song was so powerful that it caight on to the South African movement against the apartheid regime....Freedom Sengwayo was Ndebele and the same language is very similar if not the same as Zulu which is spoke in South Africa
Same as shosholoza stimela siphuma e Rhodesia, the problem is they don't give credit to the original composer's e.g who discovered majaivana the name majaivana is popular in soweto please give credit to the black Rhodesians not Zimbabweans.
I would stand for this anthem as much as for my own. Our flags and countries deserve respect for the best of the good people in each. None of us is all good or all bad. God help the good .
No other country ever created the rich encyclopedia of beautiful social movement music that South Africa did. Not even close. Just add it all up. It is awe inspiring.
Source: Vineyard Church Winds of Worship, Vol. 14: Live from South Africa. The singer is Silulama Maphongwane. Please credit him on you main titles. He has lovely voice and deserves to have his name known
This is one other song that deserves to be an anthem, maybe is should made a secondary anthem, if there is such a thing. It should be made our anthem during our nations deepest sorrows, like the death of Madiba or when there is a war. I love this song people.
I've been singing this song the whole day and told my self that I definitely need to find this ❤️❤️ I am so surprised at the fact that this video is from 12 years ago I feel so blessed right now ✨🙏

After I bought this CD I memorized the lyrics and now 12 years later I've been singing this song to my children to help them sleep and while we drive and sing worship songs. They love that it is in an African language.
i went to africa with my school and we were working with another school. the school sung songs and this is one of them. i can honestly say, it was amazing, everyone was really enjoying it and i found myself joining in :D i love africa

A national prayer calling for divine intervention. May God Almighty bring peace, tranquility, equality and economical strength to all nations under the sun
It's difficult to fight with someone who's not fighting back instead someone's fighting for him. God always take care of his children irrespective of colour.
This sounds exactly like the vinyard music cover from the album "Thula Sizwe" so I'm assuming that's who's cover it is :) they also do an awesome cover of the national anthem of south africa which i'm struggling to find atm >
