Very sturdy in comparison to other strollers that we had. I get a lot of compliments for it. My baby loves being in the bassinet, The ru-vid.comUgkx4qZutfp1y5CaTUcMTuFPbARE5u-8XLiE stroller comfortable. I like the rain cover and the white net that comes with it. I use the rain cover just to cover the car seat when it rains. If your front wheels don't turn well, make sure you lubricate.
I tried them both at the store today and for bigger kids, the city mini is by far an easier push and has a higher seat back. My petite 3 year old loved the city mini gt2 and didn’t care for the Thule. Also I like the wider frame of the city mini because it felt more stable and grounded due to the wide frame.
I've been filtering strollers based on ability to stand, and this whole time, I assumed GT2 and other similar strollers (such as Britax B-Free) couldn't stand. However, I finally found a video explaining how they do and went and tried it in store today, and it's true! With the rotating handles, you need to put the handle in the up-most position so that when in folds, it's the correct height and forms sort of a flat base. The GT2 is a bit floppy and could easily be knocked over, but it does stand well enough in pinch. The B-Free actually stands a little better using the same method. They're not as elegant as the Thule Spring, but I think it;'s worth considering.
Hi I'm wondering how the stroller has held up for you so far and if there's anything you don't like about it? My girlfriend and I are soon to be first time parents and have been going nuts looking at strollers (mostly me lol). We liked the 3 wheeled ones but not the bigger jogging type. We just want something that's better for all terrain vs the ones that fold up nice and small but have tiny hard plastic wheels. I keep going back to the Thule because I love the looks of it but I read a few things about it that concerned me. I read a few comments of people saying the seat at its most upright position is still not upright enough especially for smaller children. To be honest I hate the GT2 especially how it folds. I think the Thule just has a more simple less garbage look and feel. Although it is a little wobbly in the back since there isn't a cross support which is another big thing that worries me as far as how it's going to hold up after some good use. The only reason we ar considering the GT2 is because it seems like a good "all around" stroller and a very popular one. Also I like the bigger wheels. I absolutely hate the storage basket underneath (another win for the Thule).
Thule are not releasing a bassinet for the Spring. This seems like a large oversight on their part, losing a chunk of the market to their competitor. For anyone who wants to go on longer walks or trips and don't want their newborn in a capsule the only option to go for is the Baby Jogger GT2 which has the bassinet option.
they are the same size and type of wheel, rubber wheels filled with foam. they are both more like mini terrain wheels, but they can withstand alot. All-terrain are normally 12+ inches, whereas these are 8.5, but as a previous GT owner these wheels can tackle alot.
I get the fact that the Spring folds closer. But what worries me is that's another complex mechanism, and am wondering whether over time if it would cause problems. That is what I like about Baby Jogger, their mechanisms are simple, so theres less chance of anything failing. Another thing that I like about Baby Jogger more is that there is a bassinet option. The Spring does not. I know it accepts a car seat but in my opinion having just a carseat as the newborn option isnt the most ideal, because sometimes I'm not out on my car, I'm walking, and I want my newborn most comfortable as possible, and only a bassinet can offer that.
sdagf2013 Hi! Just curious what do you mean by “complex mechanism”? It looks pretty simple to me. Just curious what you mean! I’m leaning towards the Thule Spring right now but I’m open to learn more about it in case there’s something about it I haven’t thought of.
@@tinas1642 every action when something folds has a certain mechanism, and requires more parts then. When stroller keeps its width as it folds, it just has the folding mechanism, that's it. The Spring would require some type of other mechanism for the frame to collapse that way, which adds more parts, which equals to more parts failing. Doesnt necessarily mean it will, as long as one takes care of their things.
@@annadudarenko3865 so do baby jogger. regardless, it all comes down to either if one is unlucky on getting a dud, or how you take care of your stroller. Some people are really rough with their stuff, whereas some take care very well.
What is the height limit for both strollers. My daughter is too tall for her nuna mixx stroller. So I dont want to get another stroller that has a canopy that hits her head.
Hi! Can you say anything about the suspension? I see from Thule's website that the Spring has suspension in the front wheel. Does it also have suspension in the back wheels or frame? And what are those two thin black rods going on the back of frame?
It doesn't seem like the spring has a bassinet which despite its advantages makes it a no go. How does this compare to the Tule Urban Glide as far as size and weight?
Hi Heather! The Urban Glide2 is a full size jogging stroller VS the Spring is a compact. The Urban Glide2 is 25ls but will also have much larger air filled tires. The Spring is 21lbs.
Hi Chelsea, these are intended to be city strollers and aren't ideal for hiking. You could take them on dirt trails if you really wanted to, but they wouldn't handle as easily as a stroller with larger wheels and better suspension. They would perform very similarly to one another.
I can not figure out what is the best stroller to get. I take the bus everyday and have to walk in the city with my toddler. The smaller it can fold the better but I also need to have one that is all terrain. Any suggestions?
The City Mini GT and the Thule Spring, are great possibly more options on our site. Reach out to mbeans.com/consultations for some help breaking down the differences!
Hi! We still love the Thule Spring, and we have actually stopped carrying Baby Jogger at Magic Beans. There may be other similar strollers on the market, but not that meets or exceeds our expectations.
@@maskedhorse6992 Great question! A couple of years ago baby jogger was purchased by a very large company that is no longer focusing on specialty retail, so we have access to an extremely limited catalog of products. If we could buy directly from baby jogger, it’s likely we would carry a much large of variety, but we literally have no access to their products. Eli
I just wanted to thank you for posting this video! I was set on the Citi Mini but bought the Thule Spring all because of your video and explanation of the features. It is certainly an overlooked model and not sure why it’s not talked about I love my stroller thanks again!

@@jonathangaliano2617 We have pretty similar things we are looking for. I'm curious where you landed on a stroller. We are currently debating a simple bassinet/carseat frame until getting something a bit more "for terrain" since we can't find a balance of a stroller that takes a nuna, offers a bassinet, is compact, and terrain.
