My boyfriend and I just watched Jared's google video (which was amazing) and because I watch your vlogs, I know you both are exactly like that every day with your kids! At the end of the video he said "now that's parenting done right!" And I couldn't agree more. Your kids are so full of joy and so full of love. Yep it's pronounced chee-ya. They are in fact the exact seeds chia pets used back in the day! It's my favorite way to make jam too! It's the best 2 or 3 days later-- super jammy without any crunch left

Watching Jackson being afraid of the storm reminded me of a childhood memory lol.. I used to be terrified of storms! And I remember one in particular because we were camping! The storm was so loud and scary.. My nana ended up telling me it was just god moving around his furniture and I fell right back to sleep lol #truestory
I used to ell at the thunder because I thought that it was yelling at me. And the lightening was telling the thunder to shut up becasue it had to sleep for work the next day
I love watching giant storms like that at night. The sound of it at the end of the video was so calming. And I love that it was night time, too. I love the hail mixed with the rain and thunder. It relaxes me!
I recommend planting alot of fruit trees. My friends grandparents always had the most delicious apples and plums that we could just eat whenever we got hungry. The apple cider is also delicious!

Way to go Ellie!! That jelly may have taken longer to make but so much healthier!! And yeah for vegetables, they looked so delicious. Ellie definitely said chia correctly. Have you ever tried making chia seed pudding? So easy to make and so healthy. It's a great breakfast on a busy morning because you make it the night before. There are many recipes online and you can make it in many flavours . My favorite recipes use almond milk or coconut milk. I would love to see how you prepared the jelly and veggies. The house looks amazing!

i am terrified of storms!!! yet i love it!!!! we used to have terrible storms where we lived. My dad would go outside just to stand with the horse because he was afraid of the storm. But yet at the same time i feel powerful and excited when its storming. idk. its such a odd mixture of feelings. ⛈⛈⛈⛈⛈

I love your reactions to that thunderstorm! I live in Wichita, KS and we are in tornado alley, so I'm totally used to really bad storms! It's quite mesmerizing though!

YIkes!!! I love a good thunderstorm, im so jelly of the one you guys got to see! Your home is looking amazing! Its making me pine for next year when we start looking to move again, we are hoping to find a forever home, the home we will stay in while our son goes to school in a few years. We want him in a good school system and to live in a place we are happy so we wont need to move him around.
Jackson was so cute at the end! His sweet little hands holding onto Ellie's arm made me smile - I felt really bad for him, but it was a really sweet moment :)

Its so cool you also tell us about how to handle tantrums and how it feels to poop after giving birth. those are the things that prepare us so well. That storm was amazing. Holy cow. Do you guys hear echos from the mountains when it thunders? Where I live it's flat. But I was on vacation once with the kids and a storm hit us and the thunder is bad enough but it was echoing off the mountains. It scared me, never mind the kids. I'd never heard that before.

Lol, at the end when you showed the storm I was like dang! That storm seems really bad, I'm glad it's not so bad here. Then I realized I only live about an hour from y'all and today we had a crazy storm as well. Jackson was so cute hugging his momma at the end!!

My town had a crazy storm last night. My small town in Iowa is going to be full of water in houses and peoples treasures gone. I thankful don't live close to the river but you never know.
Texas gets HUGE rain storms! Poor Jackson! But, he was so brave. It's alright to b a little scared, I'm an adult and huge storms still scare me a little.

LOL they are called chia seeds like chia pets. You were right. It's the seeds that you plant on a chia pet...they are edible and good for you! Chai is different...it's a tea not a seed.
I just moved up here for school and I couldn't believe the weather! I've lived in Utah my whole life but never experienced anything like that. Just crossing my fingers that we don't have a horrible winter!
I find it interesting that you painted the entire house the same colour. Its beautiful for sure! I think it would be fun if the kids rooms were different colours but this way it is very uniform and crisp and clean looking :)
