marmal320 How many of these guys are from the original line up. Or when they recorded this in the studio. The singer and lead guitarist seem to be from the original configuration
From one of the early members of the Thunder Channel fan club, this is fantastic memories. Never loved a band more (first met the band age 17, now approaching 50! How did that happen?!). Gen X rock the best!
Such an underrated band !! When I was younger I cycled thirty miles to get a copy of back street symphony the my cassette player chewed the tape so I had to go back again
I've seen Thunder many a time and was devastated when they broke up for the second time, this was the reunion and I was at this festival to see them....this song is really special to me and my partner.....,the guys went down a storm and (IMHO) stole the show from the likes of Priest and Dream Theatre...best other band on at this fantastic festival (shame it only ran for 2 years cos it was a rock fans dream) was Rival Sons, great show by them, in fact 2 shows on the ame day as one band had bailed out so they played on 2 different stages.
Remember seeing them in Sheffield in the late 90's, where they totally showed up Van Halen and Bon Jovi who they were supporting. Bet JBJ wasn't pleased with the massive reaction Thunder got as their openers . HA !
Richard Sharpe Think that was 1995. Wembley Stadium for BJ’s These Days tour. Great day, awesome music and Thunder have been a favourite of mine ever since.
I was there too. Don Valley Stadium Sheffield 1995. Thunder definitely stole the show that day. Photos from the gig are in the ‘Their Finest Hour And A Bit Album booklet.
@@ChrisHollywoodPro1 Sorry mate but I’m not aware of any. If it exists I would love to see it though. Danny Bowes has a DJ slot on Planet Rock these days. I’m sure he’d be able to answer that question.
I discovered these guys listening to DC Rock radio and I'm hooked! Love this song & I now have their 3 disc set. Awesome, just awesome! Music when it was music!
I saw these in a pub called the New Inn, Crawley, Oxfordshire before they hit the big time... They were awesome back then.. they just got better and better...
Me too. I'm british, saw them in 1989 supporting Aerosmith in Birmingham England, then Downington 1990 at monsters of rock, (now called Download) and have seen them many times since. I emigrated to Michigan of all places 2 plus years ago. - id pay hundreds to see and hear them live again. This video doesn't do them justice. 😊
I like your easy way to rock and soul, brilliant and Danny your beautiful voice .... and thank you all from the band, you' re all (got no words for that), think it' s a feeling 💕, very lovely
There's a reason why Robert Plant and David Coverdale say Danny is their Favorite, this video proves it, such a Great Band who never got their due here in the U.S. but i've loved them since the start, still kickin ass at their age.
This is the first time I heard of Thunder. About two or three years ago. How did I miss this when they first came out. I like this version better than the original studio version.
So tired of waiting I walked an empty land I was looking for something to help me understand But bad luck kept turning my dreams into sand I didn't want pity, I had my share of friends I wanted somebody more special than the rest I was aching inside like I was approaching the end Just about that moment the timing was so right You appeared like a vision sent down to my life I thought I was dreaming when I saw you that night
When these guys finished their set, it looked like half the crowd left, came back for Black Country Communion and then went home before Dream Theater... Sorry headliners, but the real stars of the Sunday are right here!
