Forreal. They even missed the play where OKC player threw the ball and hit the bottom of the backboard and went out of bounds and it was still OKC ball. They had no challenges left. The refs called all the tik tak foul against the Mavs.

The rule is basically defender can’t affect the shot by hitting the arm regardless of anything else, if shot is already released, hitting the arm does not affect path of the shot, so is not a foul.

No foul on the end of the game corner three would have resulted in a Kyrie winning put back. The only way OKC does not lose in regulation is called the foul and OKC win a challenge which would take Kyrie's put back away. Then Mavs get the ball with only two seconds left.

Simply put: the PJ foul call was not only correct in the moment bc it was clear that there was contact with the arm in realtime, but his ability to pump on the air and receive additional contact made it the correct call on the replay too. Shai has answered every question. The only thing that might happen in the future is he was insane from midrange on difficult shots. Almost 2023 Booker insane. I think he can replicate it but I would not be surprised if this series will end up being one of his better shooting performances given how many tough shots he hit. But his pushoff never getting called hurt my soul especially when they would call it on Luka.

I have to strongly disagree with your view on Shai last foul. It's obvious, that Shai after he couldn't stop shot by touching the ball first, intenionally grabs and holds PJ's elbow, so there has to be a whistle as this could go also into flagrant. Ref just can't and shouldn't ever leave such action uncalled, unless thiss is MMA match, not basketball.

SJA fouled Washington on that last play period end of story. If Washington lost the ball on the block, then you have an argument, but that didn’t happen. Washington maintained possession of the ball and SJA hit him on the arm as he shot the ball. That’s a foul. I’m not a fan of either team.

PJ did his thing. The refs had called 3 fouls on him early which had him sit down the first half. Weird how in game 1 these same refs called 3 fouls on PJ early and OKC was able to take advantage of that. It is very sus that these same refs did the same exact thing against PJ…. Odd but the Mavs were able to overcome the bs happening and were able to stay hungry for a win.

Mavs decided to allow SGA to get his numbers, and didn't really double him up and ultimately it was successful. Luka was pressured more by OKC and he ended having to facilitate more and PJ Washington and Derrick Jones Jnr ended up being the open players and they made it count

I thought the coach cost Okc to lose! When Dallas was making those runs. He never called time out! We are not even going to talk about the refs. Okc was up by eleven at one point. And up by seventeen by one point. Had the coach called time out once they cut it down to ten? They would have been able to regroup and force a game seven!

That last shot whistle, IF. Only IF the shot was released at the block, I wouldn't call foul, but since PJ stayed with possession, and THEN shot it, on that second motion of the shooting form was when Shai hit his arm.

OKC had a magical year. Until the last 2 weeks of the regular season almost no injuries to their key players. Like, none. Impossible? Ran into teams all season when the opponent's key players were injured and that continued into the playoffs. Everyone on the team had a career year at the same time. Unlikely? Still, pretty remarkable. I'm guessing they'll never have everything go their way again like this year. But this time around was just figuring out what they have. With their crazy assets this is going to get scary soon.

Both JDub and Holmgren averaged more points in the series than Kyrie Irving. It's crazy that the #5 seed beat the #1 seed in 6 games with Luka and Kyrie averaging a combined 41 PPG in the series, when they averaged 60 PPG in the regular season. Thunder were lucky Luka's not 100%.

LFG Mavs!!!!! Hell of a series. OKC are going to be a force for the next 5-8 years at least. I wonder when people are going to stop underestimating the Mavs role players. PJ, DJJ, Lively were IMENSE tonight in a must win game (going back to OKC would have been a nightmare). Props to Shai, I legit thought his middies were gonna win them the series. PJ and DJJ were playing near perfect defense on him and it hardly mattered most of the time. Felt like i was watching Kawhi vs the Mavs all over again. These refs should never be allowed on an NBA court again though. Actually embarrassing to watch.

By your logic ,SGA could hit the ball and come across and break his nose and leave him lying on the floor in a puddle and it wouldn’t be a foul, but if you land close to the shooters landing area it’s not only a foul but a technical. I appreciate your takes and analysis but you can't be more wrong about this action: “During the review we saw that Shai (Gilgeous-Alexander) initially starts on the ball, but then he slides off of it and clearly makes illegal contact with (P.J.) Washington’s arm while he still has control of the ball and is in the act of shooting,” The foul is crystal clear, if the ball was out of PJ's hand after the block it would be clear, but he shot and shai touched his arm so it's a gross foul. Anyway as you said, the mavs had 2 points anyway withe second chance

Sga was getting 90 percent of the calls on his drives -it seems Luka and kyrie get about 50 percent of those calls….going against nuggets if they win at home-they won’t face a player as smooth or skilled as SGA-Murray is a beast though, jokic is a problem-but no more dort and him constantly mobbing Luka all over the floor! 🤙🏽

We could have the battle of the Balkans in the WCF. A potential big hit to USA's pride. But either way, the WCF will be so much better than the ECF, where it's Boston vs a corpse or Boston vs a team that shouldn't even be there.

OKC making no moves at the deadline came back to bite them in the ass. You never know how wide the championship window is, but it's always smaller than you think. Learning experience, sure, but we all knew Giddey wouldn't be able to stay on the court and we all knew they were undersized, yet OKC did nothing but signing three bums that contributed nothing (yeah yeah, cap space NEXT season). OKC is taking for granted their current roster and the state of the Western Conference, which will only get tougher next year.

I never feel okc is the problem for Mavs, it's all refs being the real opponent. When refs not helping,Mavs won 3 straight games then Refs start again, okc got the chance to force g7.

What annoys me is the combination of their dirty defense (Dort, J-Dub), their foulbaiting (Shai) and flopping on offense (Shai and Dort). Also they are the "NBA analysts" love affair because they're mostly American and their superstar has lots of melanin.
