At first, I thought this wouldn't work for me. These two songs embody two completely different emotions. Thunder is about rising to success. Demons is a somber, self-reflection. Leaving out the lyrics, though, it works better than I thought it would.
This is what Imagine Dragons have that no other band has. It's not just that they sound amazing or good, but their songs have always had a meaning and tone to them.
You know..."thunder" is the word for a group of dragons, like how "gaggle" is a group of geese, and "flock" is a bunch of birds. And in the Bible, the devil is referred to, in Revelations, as a dragon. So... "Thunder of Demons" could be taken as a reference to the end times. Because that's what Revelations is about. The end times. "Thunder"=group, "demons"=dragons, which in turn = the devil.
