A new wave of Masterverse figures, a new series of reviews from Kyle Peterson! 👍 I’m sort of with you on Thunder Punch He-Man’s head sculpt. Something about it just looks off, even though Mattel used the same head sculpt from New Eternia Faker (which almost everyone seemed to agree was the best head sculpt in the line). So, it’s odd that it doesn’t look better than it should. I think I mentioned it in someone else’s review that it seems kind of pointless to have the back compartment open and include the fake caps because there’s really no practical use for them other than displaying a non-existent action feature. The translucent punch effects are a nice touch, though. On to Sy-Klone: he’s a really good-looking figure. Although I don’t really have a strong opinion either way about his head sculpt, he translates very well into Masterverse. I’ve heard from more than one reviewer that the “radar” dome on the front is prone to crack, so watch out for that. I’m a bit surprised they didn’t include those red rings from the 200X era as an alternative display, especially seeing as they were included with the Origins figure. Perhaps that’s why, because they didn’t want to have two very similar designs released so close together? Great review as always! ~Damon
I just got SyKlone from BBTS and I was opening him up while watching your review, haha. He's really awesome, I always loved that toy as a kid. Only problem I'm having with SyKlone is I can't decide how to display him! He looks great with and without the mask and his fiery shield looks cool on his back and on his wrist gauntlet, decisions decisions! I also got the Leech from this wave, I'm gonna do long game on the Thunder Punch He-Man and the Hordak, you know how it goes, some characters you take your chances and others you just don't risk it!
I'm new to the masterverse line and loving all the nostalgic characters with modern articulation. I'd missed the classics line and all my originals from my childhood are long gone now. So great to be grabbing these. I really do wish we could get a deluxe heman with a great head sculpt with various expressions. I have the new eternia viking heman as I felt that that head without the helmet is probably my favourite of the bunch. Looking forward to more baddies coming too. The snakes need some love.
Hell YES! Been awhile, I’m mainly a MOtU only and some McFarlane toys. Good stuff man. Picked the whole wave, Su-Clone is definitely my favorite. While Thunder He-Man.. is fantastic that face.. Looks like The Mom from Goonies.
So since Sy-clone has Saturn on his belt does that mean it’s the Eternia Universal Championship?Syclone is a must have. I will pass on He-man unless he’s on sale
I forgot this was not for five year olds. I had to quickly get my kid out of the room once all the "fisting" talk started. I thought Mark was supposed to take care of the five year olds?
