Maybe if you spotted a plane from really far away in arcade mode because it shows their direction coming from off screen, but even if you got the plane in the spot at the correct time, the chances of this happening are slim to none.. Pure luck. Id be curious to know how many shells in the salvo/strike and the spread (spread depends how close you are to the targeted area you want to strike - DUH!) depending on size of target circle at time of strike to be able to show how statistically small the chances of this happening are
