One of the staple shows from my childhood, Thunderbirds was the show I would tune in to whenever it was on! I still have all of the toys from the early 90's, and for my birthday this year, my mum bought me the Thunderbird 2 from the new series... I'm nearly 30... No, I will not grow up! :D

I have heard a lot of serious classical orchestras, as big as Barry Gray's or bigger, try this, and I haven't been impressed. Either the percussion is too weedy, or the horns are too strong, or the strings are too anaemic (UK sp). For my money, you get the nearest to the original in vibe and passion and drive to the original Having just watched this again, I'm off to watch "Pit of Peril" for the nth time, where n= too many times for a normal 55-year-old.

Totally agree with you there! I love the reboot as much as the old show! It's awesome to see Thunderbirds remade for a new generation, and they did a great job of staying true to the spirit of the 60's series!

Yeah good reboots have been on the rise lately besides when I first heard they were rebooting it I was like “Oh crap here we go again” but then when watching the first episode and the hot air balloon out of control then Thunderbird 2 coming out of the clouds (Aka the coolest Thunderbird). I got goosebumps

I never watched UFO, and I only remember a little bit of Joe 90, but I did watch a fair bit of Space 1999! There's more Anderson/Gray themes planned for the future, so stay tuned for more!

The countdown is based on a combination of Thunderbirds from the 60's and the CGI-animation serie Thunderbirds are go.

Yeah, they are. Though the colours of the vehicles didn't really change from the old show to the new one, if I recall correctly. I'll admit it's been a while since I watched either of them. I do have a selection of the toys on my desk, though!

You should cover the music from The Hobbit and Lord of the Ring. I'd be willing to be that a metal cover of The Mines of Moria and The Bridge at Khazad-dum would sound amazing.

''No, I will not grow up!'' Never tell someone what they should and shouldn't like. being 30 years changes nothing. Gerry Anderson treats his show with a lot of respect and when he saw the 2004 movie he felt like they just took something and made the biggest load of crap ever. I do like heavy metal AND ponies. Yet, they don't go together. :) So never judge someone's taste if you don't want others to judge yours.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. I am 52 years old, and always been a Thunderbirds fan. In all this time I have never heard a good theme cover. Or that was the case till now and I’m not even a metal fan. Some of your other themes are great too. Is there any way to buy a high quality copy of thunderbirds. Hope to hear more great music from you. By the way I am driving my wife nuts playing thunderbirds so much.

+Harry Holdstock (TheONLYHamster) I have thought about trying to do something with the new soundtrack, but a lot of my covers are worked out from MIDI files, and I'd have to work out the new soundtrack by ear, so it would take a lot longer, but I've been wanting to work with the new launch music a bit, so we shall see! \m/,

From the Gerry Anderson website: absolutely nothing. Fabulous was the buzz word of the time, and shortened to FAB for ease, and thats why it was used. Some suggestions have been that its 'Fully Acknowledged Broadcast' - similar to 'PWOR' from Stingray meaning "Proceeding with Orders Received"
