@Lolita La Negra I know I should mind my business but I have to say something: SIS, RUN. You don't find it strange that he literally attacked you for saying you've always found Thundercat to be sexy & called you a golddigger? He doesn't even know you but he still felt the need to project his feelings of inadequacy & failure onto you. Aside from all of that, the name "Misogynist Prime" is a massive red flag & he's living up to the title by harassing random women on RU-vid. Just putting that out there, whether you take it or leave it is fully up to you.
@Lolita La Negra I agree! But he has really come into his own in terms of style and fashion, so that's more so what I was referring to. It's been fascinating to watch over the years. He did a spread for GQ a few years ago and that's when it really started showing up. I don't want to comment too much on his body but he looks like he's lost weight & that may be a part of him taking more risks with fashion? That's an assumption on my part, so I could be wrong.
Sonny Chiba made a career of fancy martial arts moves plucking out his opponent's body parts. His movies are a big inspiration for Quentin Tarantino (think of the scene in Kill Bill vol.2 where The Bride grabs Elle Driver's eye). He also had a part in Kill Bill vol.1 and some of these Street Fighter movies are mentioned in True Romance.
Excellent picks. Jeesh! And.. THat would explain why Thundercat's sounds are always fresh. Cause he's all over the place. Some of the best musicians ARE!
+Emil Dee i don´t want to offend you and your taste. but he´s just another mainstream clown who pretends to be so involved in real indie music that people actually believe it.
Right... I appreciate your thought of the comment, but I appreciate Thundercat because he is a RIDICULOUS musician. Some of his choices, I have in my collection already, so I found that pretty funny. And.. Unfortunately, he's NOT Mainstream. He's an Indie, grungy, around the way guy himself. Just my thoughts though.
+Emil Dee i see you are a very open minded person. really good. but come on. you are not indie, you are not grunge or something else when they nominate you for a grammy. that is not compatible. music industry got different plans for him, he 's not the first and you will know it for sure. cheers dude
+Dr. Peter Venkman a.k.a Original Ad-Buster As someone with an artistic mind, you have to be. Again, you're correct. But... He's on his 3rd, soon to be 4th project.. He didn't win a Grammy on account of his personal projects, it was his bass funk on To Pimp a Butterfly. So I am happy for that win, but it's not for anything he, as a Indie.. Solo artist.. Has released. And, the industry does take listen, but he seems to be the same guy he was 4 years ago. Been playing bass, and composing just off the sure thrill of musicianship.
+Emil Dee i have no intentions convincing you NOT liking him anymore. that is your choice, your taste , your assesment of his skills. i completely respect that. you seem to be a young and pretty smart dude and iam convinced you will find better music in your life. just keep looking for it. peace
I didn’t even know he was friends or a fan of Tyler but that rules! Not surprising considering they’re both big LA cats, but still. I’ve been scratching my head wanting to know if they were homies for years.
it's kind of funny that everyone is an expert on the shit they just bought. it's not just like "oh i liked their old stuff or i liked the cover so i'm giving this a shot". like my dude is just now buying chronicle and yet knows specific scenes
