Should not of turned off the vehicle, say there's no initial damage showing as its started but 100 miles further the gearbox breaks who will be to blame. Needs a full check on gearbox and power take off, and the police pay for the inspection.

Go get a Mechanical INSPECTION of your Gearbox done by a CERTIFIED Transmission Specialist, and SEND the Inspection Bill to the Police, as you Checking to make SURE your truck has NOT been damaged by the Police's 'Incompetence' 18:05 by possibly causing DAMAGE to your Tow Truck! Its Called Preventave maintenance when KNOWN damage may have occured. (Even in Canada a Vehicle Inspector/Police, can be held accountable for damaging a vehicle) Retired Trucker here.

Just a little advice about the lifejacket. Either use the straps or don't wear it. It's more dangerous to wear it without the strap in that water, as it can push up over your head if you fall over, restricting your arms in the process. Without it, in shallow water that's not moving, all you need to do is sit up and your safe, even with flooded waders. In deep water, people drown wearing lifejackets without doing up the straps.

This shows when many put on a uniform, they feel they can treat others just as they wish.. that officer has issues. If he finds his job to stressful, try another line of work.. That guy genuinely seems to have a superman complex about him... I would have left vehicle in for strip down and cehck and then claimed that of the officer involved and his employer.. this way he thinks twice before doing it again... Ive made huge sums of money from similar things done by police and won every single court case... Especially when they pulled apart my electrics trying to switch of a car with a turbo timer on it... and a remote start unit also... 37k in damages awarded half of which is still coming out of the officers wages ... not a happy boy in court that day.... Stafford council should get that road drainage sorted, it seems to happen all the time going by your videos. I would worry about water getting into the underground tanks if I was that petrol station

The Police Officers in this instance are not professional at all. I also recommend you to make a formal complaint about this incident with the police treating your recovery van without care or respect.

see this is the problem with people in this country, fair enough the copper should not have been rude ,but what if the motor is stolen ,they are trying to do their job and giving it the biggen is no good stay calm around the police then argue the point afterward

Im genuinely asking how will this damage your pto? I have turned the engine off loads of times with it engaged on mine. And all is fine. The only thing I know that damages it is driving with it on and trying to engage it without the clutch pushed in.

Nice flood recovery, . I know using talk about being in the right place at the right time. I would be making a formal complaint about that copper, what a crappy attitude and did he have any legitimate right to enter your vehicle without your express consent? I kmoe p.a.c. gives them certain authority to enter premises but just to switch your engine of when you expressed a need to disengage the pto in a polite manner. Quite honestly he is one of the reasons that people are not overly fond of them. The first thing that comes in to my mind is an anagram of Newark.

it one of the most stolen car in the uk 2023 there where over 5533 stolen the ppl that steal them are organised criminals that have a high tendency to violence there goles are two check the car not stone and safety of them and public so turn off a lorry is right thing two do hgv vs car we all know who wins that fight also i normally with Mr GDB but turning off the engine with the pto on will not damage any think it might were the clutch's out faster but as there was no load on the system i.e. he was not using the bed moving it with the hydraulics at the time the engine was switch off there is no were on clutch's as there no load from the pump i understand no one like being told what to do but no point in arguing with the cops
