The preacher who got up at 1 hour and 39 happened to say wet wood won't burn. I beg the difference according to 1st Kings 18: 19-39 Everything had been drenched in water and was soaking wet. He then called upon the name of the God of Israel and the Lord sent fire and completely consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the altar and all the water that had filled the trench (1 Kings 18:19-39).
Ok you are right… but try to contextualize what he was speaking about-which was people not interested in praising God- the metaphor of “wet wood was appropriate”. Not impossible of course but green wood “wet” does not burn easily- the message- don’t bother, get dry wood, ready to burn.
@harmonyeternal I understand the contextualization he used, and the metaphor are what many preachers do. However, if a person is not living a Victorious Holy Ghost live life, they won't have any fire unless it's the fire of the flesh. It's easy to see the fire of the flesh because it shows up when the music hits Revisiting 1st Kings 18:19-39 no metaphor needed.
@kevinAltheimer3317 , I personally think the speakers message got forgotten by most of the audience, when he started promising to pay people to shout for God. If the message was from God and not self, you won’t need a praise/support section at 1hr42 minute’s 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
