I have to get a fna done Friday, Jan 5th on a 1.7 cm solid nodule... TR4 mildly suspicious. 😢 I've been having panic attacks about this procedure... supposedly they give you a lidocaine shot to numb it, then they do the biopsy... I pray its not painful. I also hope its not malignant. My blood work was normal too!!!
Just had mine done today and it was very painful. 😢 I have high pain tolerance and did not expect it to hurt that way. I felt the poking inside the nodule and the pain flowed through my ears, head, and gut. Although, maybe it’s because the numbing cream didn’t set properly. No other anesthesia injected as well. Gladly, my doctor guided and comforted me throughout the procedure. Please make sure your anesthesia is set before going through the procedure!
Worst pain I have ever been in. They stopped procedure and said I could go to emergency room. Cat showed a cut and bleeding. They gave me pain meds and sent me on my way. Hard to swallow. Neck blew up to bull frog size. 3 days later neck all black and blue and still hurts to swallow water. This is the worst.
I had a thyroid nodule biopsied via FNA this week. While I am sore, the procedure itself wasn't bad. I felt some pressure, but not too much sharp pain.
That crap hurts, the lidocaine hurts to. I just had one less than a hour ago and I feel like I felt after my tonsils were removed. Every swallow hurts. I took ibuprofen and have my ice pack. If it needs to be done again I already told the doctor knock me out.
@@AnaMaria-bh9jh hi Ana My hospital have truly messed up. Still waiting and they are now telling me it could be as late as the end of march 😢I’ve now written letters to my dr and the hospital ceo. It’s beyond a joke now. As I’ve been waiting since November last yet.
@@carlacaires9895 hi , at the moment they think it’s ok not to operate, so will have another fna in a years time. Bit worrying but they assured me that I will be ok. Thank you for asking 🙏🏽😊
