The pre tracheal fascia that covers the thyroid gland is attached superiorly to the thyroid cartilage and inferiorly its open so thats why it doesnt go upwards !

Primary is only.cns symptoms, secondary mostly occurs in the age group of 40 to 50 yrs and at this age, most vulnerable system is attacked which is CVS. Cvs is compromised, which is senility induced.
