A BIG thanks to the UH co-workers for allowing me to check out this freighter even though I can't ride. However, there are no buttons inside but I did get my camera to ride. Once again, a BIG thanks to the UH co-workers for letting me look at this beauty! :)

Without any button inside the "elevator", that is basically a large dumbwaiter. It is so weird that it have lanterns and chimes inside the "elevator".

I would guess this is an older freight elevator that was modernized.

The other day I got a cab view of a old Evans gated elevator but I cannot ride it but I could open it up and get a cab view it's on my channle right now.

This is definitely a STRANGE installation. if they are gonna install a full size elevator, they should at least make it "fully functional" this is basically a large dumb waiter. still excellent POV.

You would have to go up to another floor and press the button to have the elevator to go to the floor that is called.
