Pioneers are detroit techno and chicago house. Terms of what got electronic music to be popular are really various, and I`m sure that it`s not only trance but the hype around whole culture, plus that euro dance stuff that was banging in the radios in the 90`s (of course epic trance tunes were included, but fortunately not usually, so the actual experience was reserved for those who went to the festivals)

***** you`re right, but that`s not trance by definition. 60`s and 70`s is still something called musique concrete, and it`s Jean Michelle Jarr who started putting some rythms in that music, together with for example Kraftwerk guys, and many more of them. it wasn`t trance, it was just melodic, rythmic, atmospheric music.

He didn't produce his music himself though. This one and the album it was on got produced by Dennis Waakop, possibly with some of Tiësto's influence.

This was made a lot earlier than 18/19 years ago mate! This, Lizard by Picotto, 1998 by Hinary Finary and drink a La Bamba during a summer sunrise and you are at Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza in the late90s...But hey whenever you discover good music it’s timeless!
