“If you have fun, you win the game” No truer words were spoken by a LEGEND. And look who won, the meme IO strat from the chat-wheel spamming underdog, OG
@@chrisgit4433 The are considered an underdog leading up to TI9, even tho they are the defending champion. They did not win any tournament after TI8, arguably have the worst season a TI winner can have. They entered at the #10 on the DPC list, almost 800 points difference with TNC on #9 and only 39 points difference with Alliance on #11. Hell lots of people keep saying they're a fluke champion.
they have fun..games supposedly to be fun. so they had no pressure. if your brain is stress, you will get emotional and do stupid things and it cost you.
idk why io is called a meme strat. that hero is broken af. i recall a few io spammer already pointed out that lv 15 talent with aghs is crazy good. ana just happens to have balls made of vibranium to use it in pro games. in TI no less it can't be called a meme if it's actually OP as all hell
This OG team is at another level from previous TI Champs. They dont rely on one person or one pair, such as Navi with their Dendi-Puppey, Alliance with their S4-AdmiralBulldog, and so on. Look at this OG throughout TI9. At one game Ana is owning, at other matches it could be Topson, it could be NotaiL, it could be Ceeeebb, even it could be Jerax. This is just so scary.
All the team member can play a godlike carry especially ana And topson as a midlaner is juat fucking insane, they have all the roles and the best part is they're good-GODLIKE at them OG really has the best team composition that's a fact
Im a secret fan and I lowkey envy OG's success, but I have to admit they had the best team comp in dota history. They literally mocked and humiliated the enemy, and taunted casually with every move. That's how you know their confidence levels. Absolute beasts.
it's amazing to think that how one can feel such happiness, satisfaction from a video game called Dota. Watching this in 2021 still gives me goosebumps
11:58 upto this moment, this is why I really supported this squad. They really are "team". They continue to adapt and grow on all situations. They might not be on the highest caliber all the time but they still produce great plays. Filling the gaps and complimenting each other member is really essential to be a team.
@@nxvh9062 Similar to SKT from LoL in that regard with their 3 consecutive Worlds wins multiple MSIs and loads of LCK tournaments. I used to play LoL but moved to Dota but it’s so awesome that all these games develop these godlike once in a lifetime teams who win multiple championships and establish some of the Gods of the game. Dota has like Topson, Dendi, Sumail, Ceb, S4, Miracle etc. League has similar with Faker, Rekkles, Deft, Uzi, Smeb, Caps etc It’s so awesome that these games can have these iconic players who stand out. Used to love this with CS:GO as well you had like Simple, Guardian, Niko, GetRight, Device etc. It’s like my favourite phenomenon in esports.
i mean the more we say about OG, the more "fangay" we become this OG squad might not have the bests on every position. but their line up compliment each other so well or we could say good chemistry that is hard to find. Topson, god space creator either he makes a game for himself or he create one for Ana. Ana is like a kid need nurturement a lot but when he is farmedm there goes "release the beast" Ceb, simply +10 morale and is a genius in the game as initiator and calling fights from his experience and his own passion in dota Jerax, i would say the perfect pos4 in Ti8 and 9 is him blocking smoke, chaining the fight, filling the gap of 3 pos above. Notail, just like his name, big daddy who provides everything to his carry. surely Notail is not the best pos5, Ceb might be in the top of pos3 but not the best, ana as well for pos1, Topson and Jerax are one of the bests in their role. The combination of that is just too beautiful I'm not saying this OG is the best of the world at this time, obviously they aren't especially Ana who seems to crumble on the new patches. But man, in their time, they have proven to us that they are the real deal in Ti9. Sure the finals are not the best ones but it shows that OG is just too strong for any team. bye bye good old days after long break due to COVID-19, dota 2 had mutated into some thing else. :/
Here's a fact Dendi was right at 4:21 because OG just had fun in the entire series and straight up won the whole INTERNATIONAL with DOMINANT AND EXCITING GAMEPLAYS
It's not just all fun, OG also understand something fundamental about the game that the other teams don't AND they have frighteningly good teamfight cordination (eg: 8:34 Topson tosses Ogre right as Ana timewalks in for chrono). Sure they had fun and were styling and meme-ing the entire time but that doesn't change the fact that they are on another level. They're able to have fun as a result of a mix of confidence and understanding in their own abilities and lack of pressure from already having won it. I get what you're trying to say and Dendi is absolutely right, you probably play at your highest level when you play to have fun but you also have to play to WIN and OG has struck the perfect balance
I agree, I think the reason why LGD and the other Chinese teams lost is because they're so pressured playing for their home turf they forgot to have fun.
@@PrnvP23 True. Although I believe that because of their composure, they were able to execute their individual skills more effectively. Skill is a huge part of the game but the mind always comes first.
Man, after this TI, it made me think of how LGD were always messing with Topson and kept on ganking him. It's like they knew what he's capable of, which is quite too much from what we've seen against liquid
Well, they knows that Topson will always rotate early and take control of the map. So instead of pressuring ana in early game, they focus on pressuring topson first.
@@nyx4074 It's crazy how it's either Topson or Ana. I know that it's obvious that you have to stop either/or from getting fed since they're pos 1 and 2, but it seems like if you put too much attention on one side, the other simply just fucks you up. Like there's just no solution to this team. When OG realised LGD's strat and told Topson to just take it all in and put all their focus on Ana, it really just shut LGD down once and for all
yeah, the way OG play clearly show us that most of the opponent got basically the same skill level if not better. But the moment OG rotate and stick together, that's when the opponent lose the game.
