Hello friends on your request i have taken my Tiago automatic or AMT on hills to show its performance. I hope you like the content. Tiagoautomatic Tiagoamt Tiagoamtonhills Tiagoautomaticonhills
Very nice video bro...!! I watched so many videos before this, specialy how AMT gearbox perform on the hills. this video best among them...!! Practical and through the point video..!!
One small suggestion.... Whenever someone does a performance, mileage test video, please have 4 people onboard so that it will be realistic....... Video was good and very informative
Excellent review, you mentioned the points in a way which was very easy to understand. Tiago Amt is very smooth too compared to other amt's..but hyundai has the best amt in the segment because it uses electrical actuators...this is not only a great Tiago amt review but also a review on AMT gearbox in general and its pros and cons
@@rohitsinha67 Bruh, left legs should not be used for braking, unless you are sure you won't be driving manual cars in your life. Left leg is solely for clutch, and right leg is used for acceleration and braking. So even if you drive an automatic without clutch, it is safe to use only right leg for acceleration and braking
@@Sciencelover-tt1ne I know that, but in cases like hills, where rollback is possible, and because your left leg is free, you can first use the right leg as usual to brake, then use the left leg to hold the brakes, and while slowly releasing, simultaneously accelerate, to avoid rollback. Actually in most modern cars, the Hill-hold assist should do this for you, so the car shouldn't roll back between the short period of lifting the leg from brakes and accelerating. But when it doesn't work properly, you have to do the above jugaad, or use handbrake
I bought Tiago XZA+ last May and driven to Mukteshwar from Lucknow with family. No issues & driven in automatic mode only. No tiredness & such a comfortable journey. Got 19 kmpl overall mileage.
im also having same car with AMT even the same color also. I was also confused about Hill driving, because im living in plane area. So , really thanks for this video. im running this car since last 1 month and im first time car buyer. This video is really helpful with jenuin review, this is same experience that im having. So, again thank you for this video. 👍
My parents have tiago xza Dec 2022 model. I was driving on highway at a speed of 80 to 85, the mid was showing 21.5 milage. I was driving slow as the car was new. After few months i was driving at a speed of 105 to 110 on same highway the milage droped to 16.5km on mid. Both times there were 4 people in car and AC was on.
I have XZA+.It gives excellent mileage of 18-20 kmpl on highways. In city it gives no more than 12-13 kmpl which is understandable as mostly it runs in 1-2-3 gear in traffic
Bhai... Shandaar review tho sahi. Dhanyawad aapko ye wala review se tho bahut accha information tho mil gaya abhi. Mein soch raha tha ki altroz le lu ya Tiago. Ab tho aap ne convince kar diya ki ye Tiago bas aur thik thalk hain. :)
Sir thanks a lot of showing us amt performance of tiago. But you driving on hills narrow roads and recording video alongside, is giving me chills. Please be safe
I recently bought tiago xza+ , I live in a complete traffic and a hilly area , Bangalore Nagarbhavi 😅 I didn’t know hill assist wasn’t a feature in Tiago ,,, it’s a big disadvantage for me now ,, 😅 hope It could have a hill assist feature ,,, everything would have been perfect
Tiago gives more safety but engine is not as refined as nios and nios gives more premium feel than tiago. Mileage is bit better in tiago. Its upto you what you want and what you can leave. I compromised on engine refinement and premium feel. Because Tiago is more value for money product. Before making any decision do test drive both cars.
Brother is the Tiago amt reliable based on your experience till now?...gear lag is not an issue for me bt reliability and peace of mind..so would u advice to go for it?
Brother if you talk about reliability and complete peace of mind i would suggest you maruti/honda/toyota/hyundai, its not because tata products are not good but it will take much more time for tata to reach this feat. When you book a car for you do let us know 👍
This is a good video with practical demo. The place where I stay has a steep rise at one point almost like 50-60 degree angle kind of uprise with a sharp turn. In that case i doubt the automatic hear will work. Do you recommend or i would rather anticipate that to be taken in manual mode? I feel only it will work in manual.

Galat info mt do i also rev amt gearbox koi jerky ni h bhot smooth h there could be a problem in your amt gearbox or plz check the amt reservoir if it is jerky.
Hi sir, I am looking forward to the Tiago NRG top end model or should I go to the Tiago EV. I am new to driving and this is my first car for my family.
@@amitabhnegi what should be the must have accessories i should be fitting from showroom. And also what i should not put. I booked the NRG AMT model Petrol.
Tiago Nrg automatic comes in top model only and you get all most every thing as standard, mud flaps and mats you can get from outside at reasonable prices
Hi! I'm a first-time buyer with minimal driving experience. My daily travel to work comes to around 40 km up and down (I'm currently dependent on public transport). In terms of ease of driving, safety, and budget constraint, I'm not sure whether to choose Tata Tiago XTA AMT and Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 VXi Plus AMT. Which one would you recommend?
In my opinion, for driving, safety and budget tiago is better although tiago xta is more expansive than alto but the features it offers are worth of price difference. Only in case of mileage and reliability alto is better.
Thank you for genuine reviews, I have no doubt to purchase Tiago AMT. Your Information regarding cars are very impressive, please do more videos on other cars.
Hi Amitabh, thanks for this detailed review. much helpful. I had booked an i10 Nios Asta a month ago. But today I got a message from them that the price has increased (again!) and the wait period increased by 4-8 weeks. I am a new driver and I learned driving on Tata Nexon AMT (via driving school). already it's been more than a month and I dont want to wait longer. I am getting Tata Tiago May 2021 XZA+ AMT on Spinny for 7.2L (5200 kms driven). negligible scratches at 2-3 places. is it worth buying for that amount? (am from Hyderabad)
No not at all mam, book new one instead, better you pay 40-50 k more and buy new car, the feeling of new car is totally different. If you are ok with used car look for 3-4 yrs old car that will provide you better value for money. I would never suggest to buy used car with such huge amount. Or if you are in hurry you can check IGNIS also if you are ok with its looks. Its a good product also and can get it early.
@@amitabhnegi I have the same issue. Don't like it's looks. And don't want to get an old car that doesn't have rear cam (very imp for me). Spinny is providing 1 year warranty and all that. Am really confused. I think a new Tiago will come for 9L currently. But people are still waiting for it (as I can see in comments). Should I go for Swift AMT instead (getting immediately)
Yeah definitely swift is a great product, it beats tiago in all aspects except build quality. Swift is a better buy than used tiago for such hefty amount.
@@amitabhnegi Thank you for the prompt reply. This helped me a lot in deciding what to go buy. BTW new XZA+ comes for 8.83L in Hyderabad. And Swift will be almost 10L for a top model AMT that I wish to buy
Sir my car is creta MT and today taken test drive of Tiago amt for my wife. But in plane road there is lag even in 1 to 2 gear with engine sound. Wife was not comfortable to sit inside. But Hyundai Nios, there was no such issues. Is it because of intial pick up of Tiago or my driving issues? Which car we can select for wife, Tiago amt or nios amt?
@@amitabhnegi 1st time buyer. Looking for Small family car with not much run up mostly below - 10-15 KM daily in Pune traffic. Occasional trips of 100 to 200 KM in couple of months. Safety and easy to drive is priority. Thinking to decide between for Tiago XTA or Celario ZXI.
In terms of safety Definitely Tiago is better, and both are amt’s so both are easy to drive but celerio comes more refined engine on the other hand Tiago has more powerful engine. Im my opinion overall Tiago is much better product and more value for money than Celerio. Do test drive both the cars before making any final decision.
Sir, Amt gear box ka maintenance jyada hai kya? Maine suna hai ke 2-3 saal baad clutch plate change karna padta hai aur wo manual se kafi mehenga padta hai. Please confirm.
Engine of amt and manual cars is same, in amt cars one actuator is provided just to change gears itself rest is all same. There is not much difference in maintenance of amt and manual as amt full form suggest (automated manual transmission). You can confirm this thing from dealership as well.
Beware of the AMT system in tiago. Its not a reliable unit. I am going to pay 1.5 L tomorrow to get my amt unit replaced. The car did not even run 25k kms and the AMT got worn out. Ask service center about the cost of amt unit before going for amt. It's a non repairable unit.
@@rahulr8390 expired. But does it matter? If the amt can breakdown within 4 years then it can definetly go wrong after 5 years. Got my vehicle back. Paid 1.6L in total. 😔
Each and everyone I have spoken to has suggested me not to buy Tiago AMT and instead go for IGNIS/i10 nios AMT . Is this mere public perception or is TATA TIAGO AMT really so bad?
@@amitabhnegi Actually Its adjusted in the transmission itself from 2020 onward vehicles. If vehicle feels power issues, it increases the power on its own.
Interesting question, but you can’t do that because you have to press the brake paddle first to switch the gears. And in any other case it’s not advisable in any automatic transmission.
@@amitabhnegi thanks. I am new to driving so looking for AMT. also travel in Delhi and expressway. So safety is first priority. Please give your opinion.
