Well, as to why it may be so hard I have noticed Scrin A.I's do MUCH better with the 40,000 starting than the other factions do. Scrin has a stronger late game than early so giving them the money to boost past the early game and get their scary stuff out.... Has scary results.
The mode is Tiberium Essence 1.6 (Beta). Nice one. About the tactics, it is probably better not to concentrate on base defenses. Also, it is hard to support overextended base - two surveyers are too much. Setup an anti-infantry gun / detector near your key structures (try to cover the whole perimeter, or just at possible attack vector), to prevent damage from enemy engineers and commando - they can ruin your base in a matter of seconds. Less base defenses means less power plants. Create one war factory and start building medium and light vehicles, while keeping a balance among anti-infantry and anti-vehicle. I'd suggest 3 or 4 Titans, 3 or 4 Wolverines, a couple of Falcons - you'll need them later. Also, build airfield and one Rig, for quick fallback, fire support and field repairs. Stop the first wave with your newly built forces and attack. The hard AI issue is it doesn't holds any troops back on its base, may be a couple of long-range machines. Set your troops to aggressive stance, give them a vector. Meanwhile, build a tech center and research Gauss gun and EMP, or whatever it named the ability to disable vehicles and buildings for Falcons with each shot. This will give you additional advantage. Also, invest in your vehicles armor - probably, reactive armor research will be nice. Also, build orca bombers for deep strikes and for seeding panic in enemy lines - i.e, four orca bombers could destroy a rift generator or a drone platform - effectively disabling enemies ability to build new buildings. Destroy production structures and refineries first. All the time continue to build light and medium vehicles, including 4-5 Tempest MLRSs for mobile air defense and as anti-building. Kill one enemy in a time, move your rig their and fix all what remains from your army; also, set another base and a couple of refineries there. My structure tree look like this: crane and remote base > two power plants > two refineries > one refinery and one war factory > one refinery and one barrack > one refinery and one power plant > one war factory and one command center > air field and power plant > tech center. Research tree: reactive armor (and power plants upgrade) (in command center) > EMP > Gauss gun (tech center) > whatever you want. At this stage, when enemy production lines are down, cash flow is off and troops are demoralized, you can do whatever you want.
maccrawinthejaw overall the mod looks kinds out of place, I mean, tiberium looks just bad and by the intelligence we get in TW the cristals here seem to be the exact same as if they were still in the 1st/2nd Tib war. Might be a wee little bit fun to play though.
Upgrading the mammoth tanks with the rail gun and then boosting their production creates an unstoppable ground force. You can wipe out any faction with around 15 of them bad boys in no time.
Hope someone could help please! Downloaded this version 1.6 from the moddb site and some stuff has changed but my units are different, I have classic vanilla TW STYLE base defence etc? Any ideas why guys?
1.6 is good, but I think the best so far is v1.4. In the newest version AI of units is messed up. For example Killer Mothership of the Scrin is stupid like a shoe.
Hey..so i am new to mods. I tried using the no secondary objectives victory mod for global conquest but it didn’t work. Not sure if there is something obvious but unaware of i should be doing ... also i love this mod. If i install it, will i have the option to play TW and this? Ot is one of the two exclusively?
I'm really new at C&C and I've only played Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath. How can I play this? Also, how do you immediately move the camera to whatever the narrator alerted you about?
A refinery is only $500 more than just a harvester and it comes with a harvester. It also allows you to hold more tibirium. You get more for the money plus it's another backup in case a refinery gets destroyed.
