Great video! I’ve been working on F bodys since 2009 and I like how in-depth the video was. Most people just skip over the how and why but you make it look so easy. I was impressed you didn’t have to remove the intake, makes things a lot easier. Looking forward to the dyno tune video and future mods. Enjoy seeing these simple builds as everyone goes way over the top and forgets their roots.
White lowering springs are from Strano Performance. I have the Speed Engineering true duals and XS Power long tubes for my 4th gen, waiting for new engine to be finished, I can't wait.
Duuuuuuuuuude!!!! Please do the tune sooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a 2000 that looks pretty identical. I already installed the tick short throw, but that's all that's been done to it so far. She only has 13k on the odom. I've been watching all different kinds of vids on cams and exhaust, thinking I hade at least settled on BBK headers and SLP exhaust. And thanks to YOU...now that's up in the air again. Geesh! BTW, my wife named it BLACK BETTY.
Sounds great. It’s usually 50/50 if those manifold bolts come out in one piece. Most of my experience with broken ones are on truck engines. Usually multiple ones on each side and the gaskets will leak like crazy throwing lean and misfire codes.
Super clean black 4th gen stick car. Not jealous Lumpy cam that sounds killer. Not jealous Clean true duals install. Not jealous Was able to extract a rear broken exhaust bolt on a 4th gen with a easy out and was able to smile afterwards. IMPOSSIBLE. IM CALLING BULLSHIT. THE GODS WILL NEVER ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN hahahaha
I just ordered the speed engineering true dual exhaust for my 95 camaro. I already have the speed engineering long tubes installed on the car. It states its for the ls1 but man i think i can make it fit on the lt1.. Im also running a LE 230/238 584/584 108 LSA CAM with tick 600 springs, ls7 lifters and comp cam NSA roller rockers. I hope it sound good.. I love your car and man it sounds awesome..
I had Kooks true duals on my car and damaged them, so I bought the Speed Engineering true duals so I could have something until Kooks can make a replacement part, and they are identical. Didn’t even have to swap the brackets.
Black ws6 club represennt! I'm pretty much going to be doing the exact same thing ina couple of weeks plus heads, full suspension work (sfc, coilovers, lcs, etc) I got the tsp bald eagle boost cam (putting a tvs2300 next year) hopefully the 10 bolt will last till I can change it lol
Forget the easy outs. I deal with broken exhaust studs all of the time. Just mig weld a nut onto it. You’re able to drill the heat into it during the process and they’ll back right out. If it’s below the surface just build up the weld until it’s barely sticking out then weld the nut on. The heads are aluminum so it won’t stick to them. Much easier than dealing with drilling and easy outs.
About to do the exact same cam and exhaust on 02 Camaro next week not looking forward to it haha these cars are awful to work on! Great work tho man and thanks for the video
Now that sound good, love that fast chop some people get chop and Lope mixed up, but they don't know s*** about chop 🪓🤣 that bad boy is chopping I know it's running 🌶️👍
I use a thick flat washer weld it to the remains of the broken header bolt Then weld a nut an bam Plus the heat from welding cooks the gotdam glue off they put on them bolts I had to replace a ton under warrantee at the dealer for poppin off even low mile trucks And always the end bolts at cyl 7 an 8
Idk what kind of witchcraft you did on yours but even after notching that ear off the block my se headers hit EVERYTHING.. motor mounts, 6bolt ears, body.. every damn thing it’s infuriating
