Can I ask a question? This bothers me🥺 1 Hz produces 50 dots/ sec on a tape, 1 tick = 0.02 sec, Within 50 dots are only 49 ticks, so 0.02 sec x 49 = 0.98 sec Why is there a 0.02 difference to become 1 sec?

Actually, 1 tick = 1 space BETWEEN dots. So if there are 50 ticks (i.e. 50 spaces), there are 51 dots on a tape. This is usually a common point of confusion because many books say 1 dot = 1 tick. However, it's the space between the dots that is considered a tick. It takes 0.02s to travel from one dot to the next.
