I'm a big fan of Pixel phones, so I jumped on the Pixel watch as soon as it launched, but having used it for almost a year, the barely 1 day battery life, forced use of a Fitbit Premium subscription, and lack of auto-workout tracking seem like a huge blunder for a watch at this price. I'll wait for the Watch 2 just out of curiosity, but unless they really surprise me, I'll probably switch to Mobvoi based on this.

I'm hoping the next update to Pixel watch fixes it's problems. I love the newly released TicWatch in Sandstone color, and the battery life so I can use it as an actual smartwatch and leave the smartness enabled without charging it 3 times a day. I need to decide if I'm okay with Mobvoi's poor customer support should I need it and not really providing future updates. I'm close to feeling the extra $130 for the new Galaxy 6 Classic is worth it. It's also summer again when my Pixel 6 Pro overheats and shuts down in 15 minutes of outdoor use. I think I'm waiting for holiday sales and just converting both watch and phone to Samsung.
