RIGHT? That thing always has an insane line. It's because of the low height requirement. Just about everyone can ride. Tidal Wave was always our go to, and we would only ride the flume if there was not a long line.
Lol I love the creativity of these types of rides and roller coasters, it's all beautiful looking and it goes with the scene but then comes a big artificial ramp, they could have it look like we're going up a mountain or something, well... That would be pretty cool
We'll go on it at night next time - sounds excellent!! And about the complaining - I think that's our warped British sense of humour, 'cos we're loving it!!! :o)
I like the water rides just for the uniqueness of experiencing riding on water and being splashed, but I don't necessarily feel like walking around the rest of the day with my underwear and bra sticking to me like a second skin and looking like a drowned rat. So I wear a poncho. I get my happy water ride experience, my splashy splashy fun, and I'm not completely drenched. :)
I liked the girl wearing blue rain coat and sunglasses, that's so funny!!!!!! I've been at Busch Gardens Tampa last year and I didn't see this ride..... :-(
I believe this used to be the jungle cruise for Busch gardens and they turned it into the Tanganyika tidal wave it's pretty boring until the drop. I think they closed it down and put something else in in
Before the lift and drop was added, this was a jungle cruise type attraction. It was called the African Queen, I believe. There were animals throughout. It went slow to allow visitors to see the animals. I grew up at this park and loved this ride. A nice relaxing ride with a cool off on a hot summer day.
It's pathetic they couldn't have budgeted fixing this up and instead tossed it out so they could build a boring barely spinning coaster, and a sky rocket II clone and probably a cheap job of an RMC cause we know 1/3 to 1/2 of that layout is going in the garbage. Not that I think a Sky Rocket II is a bad addition-Cheetah Hunt isn't exactly your normal intense launch coaster, so it'll have that good variation in that area. However, it definitely could've happened later. At least Tigris ISN"T replacing Scorpion cause it'll never be 1/2 as good as scorpion. But then again, it's the most underrated coaster in the park so, yep.
Haha i went on this ride in January and though Oh it's not that bad, it's quite pleasant and calm and then when the drop came i was like oh crap! haha you seem like you enjoyed it though :D
This ride didnt just splash the rider it soaked you through to the bone. I've never been on a water ride and gotten more drenched than i have on this ride.
