I never stop being impressed by this. The fact that someone dedicated so much time and effort to redoing the entire soundtrack with Tidus laughter is mindblowing.
I actually liked this scene in the game. Tidus making a mockery of "putting on a brave face and faking it until you make it" in front of Yuna, a character that an entire continent is using as a scapegoat and expects to smile and take it was pretty great.
Scapegoat is the wrong word, but yeah, the fate that Spira pinned on her was bullshit, and she was so ready to just smile and take it. I'm glad Tidus stepped in.
At first, I thought this was just a 3 minute soulful rendition of that one song I come across everywhere by Tidus. Then I noticed this was over 3 hours... This belongs in a museum.

Update: The cause of death was brain hemorrhage. It's still baffling the doctors that preformed the autopsy, because there didn't seem to be any physical cause of the bleeding. My friend was perfectly healthy before this happened.

This song is helped save my life. You see, i was wheelchair bound most of my life. I felt like i was going nowhere, my hopes and dreams limited. I was lost. Then when my brother played this song on our speakers, it gave me the strength to stand up, walk over to the volume... *And turn it all the way up.* Now my days are full of laughter and joy. Thank you uploader. I shall cherish this soundtrack forever and walk with my head held back, laughing myself into oblivion.

You know, given that I have never played Final Fantasy X, its impressive that I can still appreciate the compositions even when Tidus is nearly every instrument.
You know.... you could have just made the main theme and everyone would have totally gotten the joke.... but no... it HAD to be the entire soundtrack.... the internet astounds me
@@justawaffle4630 there are some other ost hidden in the video, for example in 21:23 there's the acuatic dong king kong theme and there's even the metal gear theme here(you would have to wait me until i find it). Edit: Well, i thinked they where hidden, but now i notice the one's with ** in the descrption are from other games, so 1: Sorry i'm dumb 2: 2:10:49 is MGS discovered theme.
I wonder what marvelous thought triggered you to get up one day and decide "I'm going to redo the whole FFX Ost using Tidus' laugh through it all" those types of thoughts lead to what we have now, is it greatness? perfection or absolute chaos? that is for everyone to decide But everything aside this is marvelously done so congratulations on it and thank you for making something so wonderful despite people love it and or hate it
If I recall right, it originated as a joke during a Twitch stream by MonotoneTim, and over the course of a few months came to glorious fruition through the concerted effort and insanity of Johnny Mac. Tim has a few hours of gameplay of the mod on his RU-vid channel if you're interested, where he also shows off a homebrew Thomas the Tank Engine skin for Tidus he made.

Oh my gosh. I heard the opening and I thought "No... it can't be..." Then I looked at the description, and my fears were confirmed. The whole soundtrack. They did the whole soundtrack. The. Whole. Soundtrack.
Although, to be fair, it's actually super easy, barely an inconvenience. As Final Fantasy X stored it's music in midi files, just have to pull it into a synthesizer and change one of the instruments to Tidus' laugh
Its rare to encounter a youtube video that within just seconds manages to leave you floored. Floored not only because you can't process what is happening, why it is happening, or who caused it to happen in the first place but also in awe of what it simply is. Today, I have encountered such a video.
