After two seasons experimenting and going through many design iterations came up with my current 3 hook bottom rig design and assembly process anyone can easily do. This video explains step-by-step how to tie this very effective bottom rig for porgies/scup. These instructions can be modified to adjust the design per your own personal preferences or make other types of bottom rigs. Please put comments and questions below as well as constructive ideas that would improve the design. This rig also easily hooks and holds larger fish like sea bass despite relatively small offset #1 circle hooks.
