I like how most builds are like "lets abuse this bug/buff" and the other ones are like "lets multiclass 3 classes and get the perfect loot for the build" while there is also....monk..........M O N K
The scorching ray sorc can be better than what was shown here. If you take the fire acuity hat and one warlock level for command, it can deal god tier damage and have nearly unresistable control spells.
This. 95% chance on any CC after the first scorching ray (hate playing halfing, cause short. So 100% if min max). I think my record attack roll was 55 at the end of act 2. I definetely got more in third, just wasn't checking every ray. Consistent 35+ DC is insane
@@chalp1290 Yeah, I'm sure this fact was super obvious to everyone, since the person who made the video never brought up either of the things I said, AND suggested a different helmet.
Before watching this video I didn't know that Dolor Amarus worked with other weapon attacks and I thought it was weak. Now I can't wait to try it out on my next Bard playthrough. Great video.
Yeah, it's important to read thoroughly each weapon's description. I did get over this dagger too in multiple playthroughs thinking that I needed to hit with the weapon. But the tooltip clearly says -When you land a Critical Hit with any weapon attack, it deals an additional 7 damage-. I finally read it correctly in my last playthrough where I did a crit build and felt really dumb for not understanding the wording sooner.
It even counts as a DR so multi target arrow does the full 7 damage on all targets, 21 with a full set of vicious weapons. Crit is pretty broken on BG3 a lot of ways to increase the damage and to lower the crit threshold.
I've just completed the game with this build and it's easily the most busted thing I've seen in this game. While playing I've noticed that Dolor Amarus for some reason works with Craterflesh Gloves, so with full set you get extra 21 force damage to your crits.
Any durge solo playthrough on a non shapeshifter is made trivial by the death stalker mantle. Just grab those 3 levels in rogue for the assassin subclass with the free action refill when you attack someone to start combat. You get a kill, go invis, leave combat, go into turn based, attack someone while invis for a free surprise round, profit.
Almost every build exploits game mechanics to a certain degree. More importantly the devs urge you to exploit everything one of the reasons why they dont patch it out.@@megacaptcha5894
Nice tierlist dude ! First time i see your channel and as another big theorycrafter in BG3 like you, i love seen a good video like this with arguments and nicely edited. I hope its an open discussion because i have a lot to say.. since i disagree with a lot of those ahah. I may not play the same way as you do obviously but as someone who finished some Honour runs with Nightmare Mod + some conditions to not allow me to cheese things, i think i have at least some knowledge to share ! Here are my thoughts : - Eldritch Blaster is just 100x better than Magic Missile build which is almost dead since the patch that made it not work with Spellmight gloves, but also being an Attack Spell without any attack roll, so it doesn't synergize with stuffs. With a good build, EBlaster can dish more damage than a lot of builds that are higher in the list. The synergy between the Charisma applied 3 times on EB + Hex (mostly early game but can be a boss killer in late game) + Psionic Overload + Phalar Aluve shriek + Lightning Charges + Reverberation + SpellMight Gloves + Critical hits (guaranteed with Hold spells)... its just a DPR monster thanks to the hundred of DRS that will proc from each blast which can kill bosses by himself. Its also a really good Twin Haste Caster since it will most of the time don't have any spell to Concentrate one. Add Hunger of Hadar and swap most other spellslots to get each turn a Quickened EB and the DPR of the build will be higher than a lot of builds in this list that also has a lot of versatility. But i agree : it can't solo Honour, like most casters. - Same for Scorching Ray but it should be even higher. Sorcerer 11 + Warlock 1 is no doubt a top 5 contender for best builds in the game. Take everything i said about Eldritch Blaster which makes him also a DPR monster.. but add Arcane Acuity thanks to the Hat to have one of the better Control caster of the game. Command for 2 Turns with the Extended Metamagic just disable entire fights by itself, you have lv6 spells, lot of metamagic.. just a beast and an insane DPR caster. But since its a caster, its still hard to solo Honour. Its just the full caster version of what are considered the 2 most busted builds of the entire game : the Ranged hybrid/caster Sword Bard (Sword Bard 10 + Fighter 1 + Wizard 1) and its Melee variation (Sword Bard 10 + Paladin 2) which use the Arcane Acuity helmet to be the best control characters of the game. One is a polyvalence machine that dishes a lot of damages and the other one is a burst monster, and Acuity users are the only ones truly able to control Honour mode Act 3 Bosses ! While talking about it, i don't fully agree with Tempest Sorcerer being consistent at soloing Honour. Thank you for showing that someone did, but in anyway soloing Honour with ANY caster class is way harder and riskier than almost all Martials classes and the Tempest sorcerer isnt an exception. He is squishy and if he doesn't one shot (he will do most of the time, but against Act 3 Honour Bosses you don't have 100% chance on your spells) he is just done ahah. The only good caster at soloing Honour is the most tanky Caster aka Abjuration Wizard 11 + White Sorcerer, but you didn't put it in the higher tier and even under Magic Missile, which i already said is really weak. - Surprised about Monk being so low since he is considered by the majority of the community as the most easy-busted class of the whole game. It is easy to play, doesn't require any stuffs found later on and is online super early to carry every team. You just take Tavern Brawler lv4 and wreck the entire game by yourself, dealing absurde damage with 95% precision most of the time and being apple to push/topple every enemy for "free" to setup allies (if enemies aren't already dead). He should just be in the top 5 and maybe even top3. While i am at it, the Throwzerker (Berzerker + Rogue + Fighter) is exactly the same story but ranged and should also be in the top 5 without any doubts. - Hammarhaft... yeah its strong but thats not reality lol. Nobody plays that, its a full gimmick build which needs 3hours to beat any fights and requires you to click on the same things for 130h of your run ahah. So sure it is strong since it can virtually win every fight without giving any turns to enemies, but the fact that it is the slowest build ever makes it lose all of its credit. Being high tier doesn't mean only strength but also efficacity. Its like doing a full "Owlbear catch build" and relying only one jumping from high ropes to one shot ennemies.. it sure does it but for a whole run ? Nah its just a cheese build for fun, not a viable strat. - And last but not least, i strongly disagree with multiple Bhaalist Armour builds being at the top. Yeah sure they are busted because of this armour since vulnerability is so rare and so strong, but you only loot it really really late so you end up playing strong but not busted builds for the whole run. Without the Armour, those builds are clearly not worthy of the best builds but also it makes the end of the tierlist not that interesting since every toptier is a Bhaalist Armour user.. and you only have one per run ahah. Without the armour, only the Gloomstalker Assassin can be considered high tier and able to solo Honour, but its because of its ability to be the best stealth one-shoter which can be a bit cheesy because stealth is not that well coded. He can be the Dolor Amarus build since he is the best at having guaranted crits and makes Dolor Amarus even stronger. You put a version of it in high tier so its not that far and i mostly agree. Also, what i think is the best Bhaalist Armour user (or equal to the Dolor Amarus Assassin) is not in the list from what i see : the 10 Sword Bard 2 Paladin that im talking about in the Scorching Ray paragraph. Shar spear + Armour + Smites + GWF is enough to one shot most end game enemies. You are also an insane hybrid martial/caster with Acuity that can Hold Monster his own enemies to have guaranteed criticals.. which makes your smites absolutely ridiculous. You also have AoE Smites with the Shar spear special move, which also create a Darkness cloud to have advantage.. because yeah the spear makes you immune to blind and able to "cheese" hard situations with the cloud etc. Its a busted build without the Armour but the vulnerability just pushes it to the toptiers. I'd also add a build that is not popular at all but was the one i ended up soloing Honour with : Shadow Monk 11 (or 12) + Rogue 1. Its already a famous class to solo Honour since it can be stealthy and has a free teleportation which is insane in this difficulty mode for every reasons. But most of people just play Tavern brawler which is a weak version of the Open hand so i went with a Shadow Blade build with Resonance Stone. It was just insane damage (more than 200 DPR without crits.. and it crit a lot with Savage Attaker), mobility, stealth, able to use Darkness for "oh shit" moments, non-dependant of Long Rests.. just a beast ! But also a bit gimmick so probably not "god tier" but really strong. Anyway those are my thoughts, i'm totally up to discussion (with respect if possible ahah) and hope i wasn't harsh, english is not my mother language so i may use "too friendly" words. Thank you for this nice video that made me want to argue
I am so impressed to learn people have done the play through with multiple class types. Maybe I shouldn’t be because the game has been out a while now. But I’m still on my first play through and I feel like I put a lot of hours in whenever I get that chance!
B tier build that would be fantastic to pair with is the Gale camp cleric. Sure he is not going to see combat when built this way but he is able to keep everyone alive while he is in camp. Just put warding bond on your party stack hp on him, and go play. He heals himself in camp as he gets hurt without you needing to worry about him as much. And if he somehow does die, its cheap to ressurect him. he can also give you aid and with 11 levels of cleric and 1 wizard, can get any relevant buffs you want on the rest of your party like longstrider, Aid, and even heroes feast. It's overkill as you make the game trivial at that point, but still, if you are trying to do a duo run on a technicality (one party member and gale in camp) this can make some builds be able to solo the game, from a certain point of view anyway.
Where can I find detailed build guides for Lightning Sorcerer and the other Mage builds? I'm new to the game and would like to run a magic build. Good overview in this video.
Awesome video, is there a link to every class listed? I was mainly looking for the dagger paladin and I couldn't seem to find it on your channel or on youtube
Unfortunately, no one has made this build on English RU-vid; it can only be found on yt channel of my friend with whom we made this tier list, but alas, his channel is in Russian. Maybe in the future, I will adapt dagger paladin guide on this channel... I heard about AI that translates videos directly on RU-vid, maybe with it somehow this link will be useful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9cJ7A346Lbs.html
Sin Tee did a similar themed build a few months ago, including patch 6 notes in the comments (these are sparse as not too many gameplay mechanics changed in patch 6) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V7qCzAbEOSQ.html
Hey, if you didn't figure out already, you can turn on auto-generated subtitles for the video toxicfeather linked. It's not a top tier translation but you can get a lot out of it. I managed to recreate the build like that.
Half orc tiger barbarian is my fav build since i can solo practically an army due to its aoe attacks. Combined with the boaal buff, u always have advantage on enemies that bleeds. And you can also hit those assassins that cast sanctuary in the bank vault fight in act 3 with the tiger stance attack since it’s considered an aoe attack
Eldritch blast feels better on a reverberation crit build, and you can even get Markoheskir and the coldbrim hat to also stack frost giving it a ton of CC and you could even go cold Sorc for some extra frost stacking.
College of Swords Bow Bard is the most well-rounded class in the game. Main character talking parts? Best option. Damage? Titan String and 27 STR tonics? Sick. CC? Stealth? Spellcasting? Check. Check. Check.
Just so you know, divine smite level 4 is the highest damage multiplier. I think I saw you using 5 or 6th Level so just in case you do, it doesn’t work out
Hi, do you have any video i can "ghost" to see more details about ur S tier Monk, and Thrower build?, im curious to see if u have come up with something special, since im tired of Spud king mumbojumbo builds....
I have to disagree with the list, personally I'd put Circle of The Moon Druid in S class, finished 3 campaigns and that class was super strong, you can go straight Druid or 9 druid and 3 barb
No, you don't need them. Just go all warlock or all sorcerer. Put everything into charisma for warlock or sorcerer. You will do massive damage every turn with your cantrip by lvl 10, eldrich blast. All Sorcerer will give you duel haste, duel whatever, and the ability to cast a spell as a bonus action. Combine that with the Staff of Spellpower and that other WTF staff that gives you a free cast. You are a God. Duel wield staffs.
Hey man, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9cJ7A346Lbs.html (You can use auto-generated translation, if you can't speak russian. It's a bit cluky, but I managed to recreate the dagger paladin like that).
Where you say in the Fighter/Cleric build you add 1 lvl Cleric for extra attack, is this mixing GWM with war priest charges? I've been thinking a build 8 Swords Bard (flourishes, extra attack, font of inspiration, 2 feats)/2 Paladin (smites)/1 War Cleric (war priest charges, bless, heavy armour prof)/1 Wizard (haste and other spells using headband). I'd be thinking if war priest charges synergise with GWM bonus attack on kill/crit? So essentially I'd have an extra bonus attack if I crit/kill, but war priest charges if I didn't
seems like the dagger paladin only really takes off after getting the baahlist armour. wouldn't that make it a b tier? just the advantage from the gloves isnt enough to solo hm imo, not with Myrkul and the danger of being in melee range of him. id have to see a detailed video of the build to try it out i guess.
I believe it's not mentioned, but I guess it's listed in S because the default paladin got into A tier (which means it can solo the 3rd act, where you can also find OP gear). Also, toxicfeather mentions that it's kinda hard even as a default pala to solo HM, but with noblestalk abuse and explosives, it's still possible.
Man, here I am just playing on explorer for the first time (generally not a fan of the combat system, but I am growing to like it) and wow, so much I can do in a new playthrough. Wish explorer let you multiclass
Darkness is the wrong way to play warlock. The proper way is to abuse minor illusoin + invisbility potions and blob the enemies and initiate combat with hunger of hadar. Hunger of hadar consumes no actions when initiating combat with it so its a free action and then you just eldritch blast enemies while stacking reverberation / radiant orb gear so they basically can't ever move let alone land a hit back on you.
Hey man, if it's still relevant there is a video about a HM party you can try out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G_ShgMOS7zg.html Important to note: the best composition is when you can fill any role and use classes/builds, which don't compete for gear at each other. I think if you are kinda new and your question still needs answering, a circle of the moon druid with a wizard/sorlock, a buffed ranger (which is the top of S tier in this video) and a fighter/throwing fighter/barbarian/open hand monk/paladin-bard is a good combo, mainly because druids usually don't compete for items, so you have 3 really different roles left with unique item requirements. Also, you can tank and also heal with a druid and abuse forms with strength potions and tavern brawler. If you choose your encounters wisely, you don't even need such a maxed out party to begin with, but I enjoy the synergy of these classes a lot.
Dont know why you made the right way on lightning sorc cleric into sorc, but then wrong way on sorc into cleric on the ice mage. Going cleric for last level makes it so youvuse wisdom instead for spells right?
Is there a way for me to get a more comprehensive guide on each of these builds. Id like to finish an honour mode run (eventually) and I dont think any of my builds compare
Какой-то бро в комментах написал, что они вродь как вместе над этим роликом работали (иконки билдов такие же как у Кусалочки. Даже на русском XD), поэтому всё норм
No no, don't do that darkness bull. Eldritch blast, 3 times, with your charisma modifier you will kill. kill, kill kill. 20 charisma, 5 bonus, 1 to 10, becomes 6-16 x3. For a cantrip. The only stronger thing is sorcerer.
please, when you are explaing something in the video, raise your voice and don't speak with such a lower tone 1. sometimes is hard to understand you 2. with just your voice in it is giving me sleep status put music in background
