The gore always looked pretty devastating as far as spears go.

The RKO is my favorite. Not just for looking cool or being able to be delivered instantaneously, but no wrestler in the WWE has the same connection to their finisher than Randy Orton. It's just so iconic

Easily one of my favorite finishers ever is Ember Moon's Eclipse. Takes a bit of setup but the way she twists and snaps the head and neck of her opponent just looks pretty and devastating

My only defence for the styles clash is that it perfectly transitions into a solid pinning predicament. Any finished that does so should get a tier bump

The Claymore, Last Shot and Baisaku Knee Kick are three totally different moves, one is a single leg dropkick, one is a shining wizard and the other is a single leg high knee.

For me I preferred it when Big Show's finisher was the chokeslam. It worked perfectly well and I never saw a problem with it.

Along with "Twisted Bliss", Alexa Bliss uses a standard DDT as one of her main finishers when talking about that particular move.

The styles clash in NJPW is considered a killer move like the one winged angel when Styles used it there no one kicked out , also styles uses it as a reversal for hurricanrana or even from the top rope

Great list guys. I still have to say though, I really feel like Kofi's finisher should be the SOS, it just... it looks so much cool and more devastating than Trouble in Paradise. Plus until recently he hardly ever landed the damn thing lol. I just remeber he's always call for it, but it would always get ducked.

For me, the Tombstone is the mother of all finishers. It is a perfect fit for the Undertaker, for his style but also on a metaphorical matter, Tombstone = RIP (a good fit for his Wrestlemania streak). It also is the finisher that has finished more Wrestlemania matches than any other, so many iconic endings on top of that, like the one where he catched Shawn Michaels from a Moonsault and going from there directely into the Tombstone, which ended the greatest match of all time at WM25.

You guys should do a finishers list of other promotions. Having Rainmaker, One Winged Angel or GTS would be interesting to rank.

The snap Moxley does when he hits the DDT makes it look strong, and no one has kicked out of the "Paradigm Shift" since he started doing it almost a year ago which presents it to be one of the most protected finishing moves around today.

You have the "Chumpsters" legdrop on the list, but not even mentioning the legendary elbow from Randy Savage!

Also DDTs did lose a bit of shine in the attitude era, but they seem to be mostly back now. I think of them like piledrivers now. They can be a finisher, but if not it's still a near fall move.

I always felt like Shawn Michaels tuning up the band, multiplied his super kick by the number of people in your average band 😂. So it was like getting kicked by 4-5 people. LoL

You've missed a few. F5, choke slam, sharpshooter, every power bomb, every female finisher. I'm loving these lists, but this one is only half done.

That's what Hogan's theme is about "When it comes crashing down and it hurts inside" is about the leg drop.

I preferred the way Orton used to hit the RKO when he first used it, just because he got more height back then, but I understand why it changed over time, move is still great, I just preferred the older version.

I really don't care about the rankings, I just love the banter back and forth between these two and the jokes they tell.

And IMO Hogan's leg drop, the AA, and the people's elbow all belong in the same tier. Whether good, bad, or indifferent, they're all more about the theatrics and the person doing them than the move itself. Big E's big ending has the potential to be similar

3:50 for me its the sharpshooter. A properly done sharpshooter like Benoit's and of course Brett Hart's. Honorable mension to the Ankle Lock with the leg wrapped around the opponent's leg.

I hadn't seen that Goldberg spear on Christian before, so I paused this video, found the clip, & good lord is that spear beautiful. Also I believe Randal Keith used the O-Zone as his finisher in between the top rope splash and the RKO.

I think the keys to a great finisher are you CAN telegraph it, to showboat and work the crowd, but also can hit out of nowhere. They should also look both devastating and unique, as it's part of a wrestler's identity. Moves like the Stone Cold Stunner, Sweet Chin Music, the Curb Stomp or the RKO work so well cos they can have theatrics but they can be hit suddenly, you can believe the impact of them kills, and (at least for the guys who primarily used them) they're iconic-looking. Adaptability and impact make for top-tier finishers in my opinion. One of my personal wrestling 'Straight To Hells' is moves that are made Finishers just because they're over. The People's Elbow I love... as a signature move that gets a pop, a high-spot in the match... but as a finish it's trash. Same goes for The Worm (except I never liked that) and shit like Santino's Cobra and recently Otis's Caterpillar. As high-spots, sure. As finishers, get the fuck out!

The Vertabreaker belongs in The Best. As well as The Unprettier. As does The Muscle Buster.

Jushin Thunder Liger did the Shooting Star first and made it famous. Even one of his nicknames was Shooting Star. The wrestling plattform ,,cagematch" states that he invented the move in August of 1987.

Regarding Mankind's move, I thought it was called the underhook DDT or facebuster.

Mankind did not use the Double Arm DDT. That was Dude Love. To set it up he hit Sweet Shin Music. Which is as it sounds.

I doubt Michaels would mind the change in how the superkick is used now as it was just a generic move for him for the first decade of his career. it never got the pin when he was in the Rockers or early on in his singles run.

My favourite version of the Spear is Goldbergs (though the tier maker should of put the Jackhammer really), my specific face probably being to Nunzio at the 04 Rumble. I like Edge but his is essentially a clothesline to the ribs.

the Rock Bottom was the RKO before memes and gifs were invented. The Rock often did a kipup before hand and hit it out of nowhere when you think he's dead. i feel it should have been in at least good if not great. plus it looks really good when putting a guy through a table. Also, no choke slam, F5, or pedagree?!

The thing that always gets me out of the style's clash is when he hooks the guy's arms, and has to balance on one leg for a second. It's kinda like when someone gives a choke slam, and tosses their opponent's arm over their shoulder.

AJ Styles Styles Clash used to be way better in TNA/ROH. He would get to it from a thousand different positions. He once hit it on CM Punk in ROH from a knee while Punk threw a Shining Wizard.

Orton's first finisher was kind of like a swinging neckbreaker but with the back of his knee. I believe he called it the Overdrive, and it sucked.

The boys were both very tired when they recorded this. They missed so many finishing manoeuvres. No figure 4 or 8, no sharpshooter, no crippler cross face. They need to do a new, longer one when life gets back to a bit of normalcy.

Dirty Deeds is a double-arm ddt. It was also Mankind's finisher when he didn't use the mandible claw

Rhino's gore was far better than Greenberg's spear. The one on Christian is only so good because Christian was incredible.
