Tier ranking first lines of classics novels (part 1 of 2)! 

Ohh so interesting. For many classics i could for the life of me not remember their first line at all until you read them out loud. But there's a few, like Anna Karenina, that are burned into me and everytime I hear it I feel transported back into that book and the reading experience.

You are killing me smalls with switching the tier list colors. Tier list on tier list colors when?

"Yeah, I'll keep reading" is what I keep telling myself to get through any of Dickens' ( 700-page!) books tbh (not the biggest fan, unpopular opinion I guess😅) One of my favorites is the opening of Orlando by Virginia Woolf: "He - for there could be no doubt of his sex, though the fashion of the time did something to disguise it - was in the act of slicing at the head of a Moor which swung from the rafters" (... and yet I was not prepared for what was to come) Also, The beautiful and damned by F.S. Fitzgerald: "In 1913, when Anthony Patch was twenty-five, two years were already gone since irony, the Holy Ghost of this later day, had, theoretically, at least, descended upon him". (and the opening life of the Iliad is incredible, wink wink), great video as always, I'll shut up now ahaha :)
