Hi Friends! View my entire jewelry collection here MY ENTIRE FINE JEWELRY COLLECTION - 2022 UPDATE ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tfKMoeK8nzk.html Happy Weekend. Love and light 💞✨
Both are beautiful but to me they simply have different personalities. I was obsessed with halos when I was married 10 years ago but now I much prefer the simplicity of a solitaire. Having a Tiffany diamond is a win win either way.
I enjoyed this informative/comparison video! I didn’t know that the Halo ring is less expensive than the solitaire ring! After watching this video l understand why. While the Soleste ring is very pretty, I still prefer the beauty and classic simplicity of a Solitaire ring even with just a plan band, because l just love the metals, preferably yellow gold and the brilliant look that the Solitaire diamond gives. As always l appreciate you giving us other options/ideas as well. Thanks for sharing.☺️🤩💍💎
I just happened to come across your channel while trying to get more information on Tiffany’s rings. I just got some Tiffany’s jewelry for Christmas. I really really enjoy these super informative videos.
Hi Jodi, I always look forward to your posts! I've recently been looking into investing in fine jewelry and always reference your videos to help me make a sound decision. You are very informative and I've come to trust your opinions a lot in this matter. I love how humble you when you say as long as you love your piece regardless of a lower budget that's all that matters! Refreshing to hear from a youtuber that perspective rather than I have this you should have this etc. Thank you for what you do! I love watching your videos xxx
Thank you Ayesha. You just uplifted my weekend. This is the foundation of my channel. I aim to provide useful information and not just show off my items. I'm so happy you are finding all the info helpful. Happy collecting 💞💞💞
Green is your color!! 🤩 💚 Thank you so much for this video, I love your Tiffany videos. I was wondering could you do a video showing us & trying on the high jewelry engagement rings (the 5+ carat $600,000 - $10M rings)? I would love to see that! Thank you ☺️
Hello, you have an iconic collection of jewelry, Jodi. This was a great video with fantastic close ups, which I thoroughly appreciated. We await for more of these! Greetings from Greece. Xx
I love your solitaire diamond ring and your diamond earing (1.5 carat each)from T&co....they have a good quality,,really stunning...you have a very good taste dear
Girl, you have the best jewelry collection. I will be buying my first DY jewelry (bracelet and ring) soon because of your review. Great review as always.
Hi Jodi, once again you have come through with a very informative video. I have looked at other jewelers but I always “return to Tiffany.” I love how detailed you are. I will be purchasing some diamonds for myself and my daughter. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts.
The ring is so beautiful and the way you explained everything has made me a new subscriber of your channel! ❤️ Looking forward to more content. Also, you’re giving me things to aspire for and work towards! Such an inspiration, for sure!
Hey girl! Loved this video! And I'm with you, Tiffany's is my overall favorite when it comes to jewelry. However, I have been intrigued by some other brands, like Van Cleef. And I noticed that you have the Vintage Alhambra Pendant in Malachite. Everyone says that Malachite is so, so sensitive. So I was wondering how often you wear yours and if you have to take any extra special precaution when wearing it.
Hi Paris! Thank you. Yes malachite is very sensitive. I've been wearing my pendant 24/7. I absolutely love it. You just have to avoid showering in it and spraying perfume near it. Otherwise, it's totally fine. I've seen someone drop their earrings on tiled floor and they cracked. You just have to be careful of accidents but overall you'll be fine. 💚
I’m a side stone girl myself, but this was a really great review. Very informative and nicely done. Your selections are gorgeous. I even like the bands stacked on either side on your display. Reminds me of my ring guard.
Hello Jodi. I’m enjoying your videos very much. Informative and beautiful. I dream of getting a classic round Tiffany engagement ring and diamond band. I’ve been married for many years and looking to buy a pre-owned solitaire. If you have any tips on doing that please let me know and if possible please. Thanks 😊
Your ring is beautiful! But I wonder why there's a faint fluorescent on your ring when the color is F, which is near colorless. And I agree, I love solitaire, no halos nor paves. I did think about getting a knife edge band, but I went with a flat band and a lower setting since I work in the medical field. Shoot, it's already a bit annoying when I wear gloves lol
Yes gloves and rings suck lol. As for fluorescence, it can occur in any diamond regardless of color, but its effect is different based on color. Luckily, my ring has only faint fluorescence on a scale of none to very strong so it's hardly noticeable and has zero impact on the overall beauty of the diamond. Your ring sounds fantastic btw; I love classic rings too. 💍
@@JODIMMOSLEY True, I was just wondering because normally there wouldn't be any fluorescence when it's near colorless... I thought. It's usually when it's more yellow lol But I love your ring tho!!
Yes, you are correct…the fluorescence shows up more in this ring because of the F color. When a diamond has fluorescence you can actually go down in color grade and it cancels itself out and appears whiter. An ideal diamond of this color would have no fluorescence. Ultimately it all comes down to personal preference and the diamond in this video is still beautiful.
@@har5387 True, which is why I was wondering in the first place. Normally, they add fluorescence when the color is a bit yellowish to counteract the color. Not sure what the purpose is in this case lol But nevertheless, her ring is gorg 👌
Thank you for this video. I saw a quote once that said, "Simplicity is the highest form of sophistication." The Tiffany solitaire is absolutely gorgeous on its own. I love this ring and appreciate your review on it. P.S. You look regal in green! Beautiful!
@@lindsayb7509 yes the naked eye won't notice. Pretty much like most other silver, gold and platinum jewelry. Diamonds are the only thing that cannot get scratched with everyday wear.
Great video, I got my wife one when we got engaged last year she love it. Her diamond 💎 is 1.30 ( expansive smh ) what size is yours. Just saw the size, you go girl lol 😆.
2.74 ct based on her cert. I have a 2.2 ct and it's a good enough size. When it's closer to a 3 ct, it will look massive. My husband says he'll upgrade in the coming years but I don't really know if I want to wear a bigger ring than what I already have lol In person, it will look smaller than through a picture/video, but it would still be big.
Your rings are beautiful, the engagement ring band needs polishing as I can see a lot of scratches, but still beautiful. The Tiffany Classic is able to be found at any jewelry store now and is basically called a solitaire Knifes Edge six prong setting however, Tiffany did do it first. I must disagree about Tiffany being better at grading diamonds over the GIA. Tiffany does say they are stricter than the GIA, however, the GIA has the highest reputation for gemological reporting internationally as well as in the US and have an impeccable reputation for accuracy, regardless of what Tiffany claims. I'm not saying Tiffany's grading is not strict, but better than GIA - I say no. IMO any jewelry you buy from not only Tiffany & Co but from any jeweler that uses their own certification should be taken to an independent GIA appraiser, it will cost you two to three hundred dollars, but is well worth it to me. Now about the rings, both are beautiful but I much prefer the halo design - it gives an engagement ring a personality. The classic or solitaire design is too simple for me and I've always thought it was a boring setting. I don't like over the top bling bling however, I need diamonds on the side even if the diamonds are really small, however I love the halo design the most, as long as it's not a double halo which I hate because it is over the top IMO.
No. You’re very wrong. I don’t rely on GIA certification when vetting for a diamond because their grading is very lax. Their range for making an excellent cut is too broad. AGS is much stricter. Many of these GIA excellent cut is only “very good” cut for AGS. But I use my own criteria when vetting for diamond. For example, crown angle must be between 34.5 - 35; pavilion angle 40.5 - 41; table 53% - 58% etc. I glanced at the Tiffany certificate and the proportions are exactly what I am looking for if I were to choose my diamonds. And for your information, Tiffany’s diamonds have always come back with higher grade when they’re sent to the GIA for grading. That speaks volumes about their reputation. I also buy my jewelry from Tiffany. I have a 3 carat, same clarity but with lower colour grade. I have people so mesmerized with my ring that they follow me just to see the sparkles. I know because I confronted them. Lol. Halo or classic 6 prong Tiffany style band has nothing to do with being boring or not. It’s about taste. I just can’t stand the halo. It takes away the beauty of the stone. I’ve looked at all different kinds of designs and styles, but the one and only that I can forever fall in love with is the Tiffany style with a solitaire. Your ring is just gorgeous, Jodi. It’s so blinding!
My husband proposed me with Tiffany soleste ring. I loved it but I got fed up of it very quickly because it’s toooo much. Unfortunately Tiffany don’t provide upgrade in my country. It’s only for US and Canada.
Awww Darya so sorry. I wish you guys would have tried on rings together prior to committing. Do you wear a band? Maybe wear your wedding band on your right hand to tone the ring down a notch. ❤️
Your engagement ring is beautiful - excellent quality. I would say, however, that the GIA standard for grading and certifying diamonds is superior to other grading labs and definitely comparable to Tiffany. I'd choose the GIA certification over all others, including Tiffany.
Well the only way to get a Tiffany diamond is with a Tiffany certificate and I'd do it again a 100 times. I've compared both extensively, and as you have stated they are definitely comparable. I've never seen an unimpressive Tiffany ring. To each her own. 💍 When it comes to other jewelers though, absolutely GIA is the best choice.
Hi Jodi, did you consider a pavé knife edge wedding band to pair with your engagement ring? Or do you prefer how non-matchy bands pair with a knife edge ring?
Hey! I actually did not consider the knife edge at all; I've always just known I like the look of the embrace. I've never seen the pave knife edge band in-person so I'm not sure. I'm sure it's beautiful however. My only rule/thing I don't like when it comes to bands is when the diamonds are too big and compete with your center stone on your 💍 or when the width of them is too wide and appear chunky. Otherwise, I think they all look great and serve the purpose. ✨
@@JODIMMOSLEY Thanks for your reply! What do you think of the trend these days of mixing metals? Would you pair a rose gold wedding band with a platinum engagement ring? I have mixed thoughts on that, but I would love to hear your thoughts because you have such great style 😀
Lol thank you. I love mixing metals where all other pieces are concerned, but I wouldn't mix my wedding rings, especially not a Tiffany set. The platinum is perfect for that dreamy classic look. Platinum is the harder metal too compared to gold, which means improved wear and tear which you need for something that is on your hand constantly. If you plan to wear the band on your right hand mostly then I don't think it matters, but matching the metals looks better I think, and may even make your diamond appear larger due to the complement of the pieces rather than the contrast. ✨✨ Just my 2 cents lol.
@@pammy35 under camera you will see scratches on any jewelry. You don't see them with the naked eye. Tiffany does allow you to get them smoothed out every 6 months though. ✨
Anyone who pays for the Tiffany name brand is getting ripped off and is a straight up fool. You can get better quality for a better price in other places and are not ever diamond is necessarily cut well at Tiffany’s 😎. Do your diamond research THOROUGHLY before buying a diamond.
