Why the hell are people so shocked about how many books Katt read as a kid? WE DIDN'T HAVE WHAT YOU HAVE! We relied mainly on books & network TV. Almost every kid had the full sets of encyclopedia's bc that's how we looked shit up. You had to provide verifiable sources for your reports. We all did NOT have the internet at home. There were reading challenges everywhere. Read a certain amount of books for a free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut, discount for tickets to Six Flags, free game of bowling at the bowling alley, & etc. You had to WORK for what you had. This last two generations can barely write in cursive. There are 7th graders who only read at a 4th grade level. Don't put your paltry drive to read onto Gen X & older. We know how to survive without the internet & cell connections.

Katt acts a fool during his stand-up and in pointed interviews to drum up media dust (he's very calculated in that way), but if you have the chance to listen to him in long form interviews with no alcohol or weed involved, the dude is HIGHLY intelligent and clearly a well-read individual- it's almost shocking because it's like listening to the polar opposite of the high-energy , ninja assassin we're used to seeing onstage and in the urban demo: there are interviews out there where he code switches into another aspect of himself that's surprisingly soft-spoken, intellectual, and VERY nerdy. You can tell that he still throws in a bit of hyperbole to juice up some of his backstories to make things interesting, but when he speaks seriously of craft, business, science, ethics, and spiritual walk, his intellect is impressive.

I've been hearing stories about Katt Williams' generosity for years, as well. It's the reason that he doesn't have to fear crossing the "powers that be" in the industry.l, or being "canceled". His well-being has been covered due to his generosity.

I definitely think 3000 books was an exaggeration but also he was homeless in Florida and said he went to the library from the time it opened until it closed. He didn't say they all was chapter books 😅😂

He said nonfiction and he said he read it from ages 4 to 12 (or 13) but it was definitely before he run away from home. So he was not homeless when he claimed to have read 3000 books a year.

Why do people keep saying no one is saying he lied lol?. Yes they have. Tiffany and Cedric both did. Ice Cube also disputed what Katt said about having them remove the r@pe scene. Cube said there was never a r@pe scene in the script. This doesn’t mean that none of what he said was true. But Katt is capable of misspeaking or misunderstanding just like anyone else. It’s ok.

Actually, it is true that no one has disputed his claims. They just make lame jokes while trying to take the “high road”. In regard to Ice Cube specifically, if you listen to what he’s saying, he never disputed the implication of rape in that scene. He said he never would have SHOWN that. If you watch the movie, the scene is clearly still there. You can tell Katt just flipped the script by grabbing Terry Cruise by the balls with a tool to prevent it from going down.

@Amber-rk6em I agree, it does but earthquake never really said or did anything negative like the others that he mentioned. I understand that he was trying to right some wrongs that was done to him but earthquake always seemed like a nice person to me.
