Great voice and she was really mature for someone so young at that time. Feels like she was and remains massively underrated, in terms of her standing in the history of pop music.
This was my Saturday afternoon jam in my room! Right after Saturday morning cartoons I'd be Blasting this song, doing those moves and lip syncing in the mirror til I was told to go play outside!
This was filmed in 1988 during her show at Walt Disney World for one of the Grad Nights they used to have for thousands of recent H.S. grads. You might recognize that it's in front of Cinderella's Castle. I was working as a cast member on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom at the time and I was near the front of the stage (hub area) for all five or six takes they did of this song!! I can still hear it now, "One more time..." Also performing around the Magic Kingdom that night was Expose, Run DMC, and Ray Parker Jr. (Ghostbusters). Good times.
I like this girl's energy! The scream at the end of the chorus was just epic!."i saw him standing there, saw him standing there argghhhh!!" She could be in her old age now in 2022. I'd love to see more of her performances!
Who is still listening this in 2023 ? I sure am and I love all her songs and danced to them 40 years ago, now too, but not in a disco but in my room as an older girl 😂 Greetings from the Netherlands 🥰
WOW! How did I miss this until 2019? That performance was FANTASTIC! There's nothing wrong with covers if they're done well. That was done VERY WELL! I LOVE YOU TIFFANY! 😍💞
Beatles songs, like those of another British group at their peak at the same time, the Kinks, have a lot of good cover versions because while the Beatles (and the Kinks) could be outstanding song writers they were merely good performers. Hence quite often a cover version by an inspired performer will be as good, often in a different way, if not better than the original. See e.g. Bryan Ferry's version of John Lennon's Jealous Guy or the collection of Beatles covers by various artists including Helen Reddy, the BeeGees, Rod Stewart and many others in the soundtrack album to the bizarre but amazing film 'All This and World War II'.
This my favorite song of all time by Tiffany in 1988 A covered version of The Beatles song I Him Standing There!!!! She did a great job on the song!!!!!! I love it!!!!!’ Thanks for posting this!!!!!!! Tiffany you rock!!!!!!!
"Back in the 80's, Tiffany was the very first redhead we ever fell in love with. Oh, and by the way Tiffany. If you're listening, and you get this message! Yes we're still single!"
Support4MySingers Can't speak for others but i didn't know who Molly Ringwald was so i looked her up. Doesn't float my boat sadly but then there's always Belinda Carlisle.......
WHAT? Molly from 16 candles, the breakfast club and pretty in pink? YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHO SHE WAS? Shame man, total shame ha ha ha ha! Belinda was smoking hot though :-D
I love this cover. I love Tiffany and everything about her. I had a crush on her and Irene Cara as a kid. And I especially love Tiffany's Playboy shoot. Great woman.
Every second of this video SCREAMS 1988. The fact she (or most likely management) chose this song for her to cover, the complete 80's arrangement of it, the fashion (her, the crowd, the touring session musicians with mullets and moustaches) the totally 80's dance moves.. personifies the older sister 80's culture I experienced firsthand. Maybe it's why I worshiped the 90's alternative scene so much
Me transportè a mis 13 años, escucharla y verla me recuerda toda mi adolescencia !!! Soy tu fan desde aquellos años y hasta la fecha. Tú música se quedó en mi corazón. Saludos desde Costa Rica !!! :-)
+Brandon Bennetzen .. Tiffany always uses her hands because she has a Relative that is deaf . So you see her doing alot of sign language in her songs .
Originally from 50's 60's 70's English Boy Band The Beatles but this version rocks I was 12 or 13 years old when this version came out I'm now 42 still love it
Back when I was a mere mortal in 1987, my father had to inform me that this was a Beatles song while I was repeatedly playing it on my Soundesign stereo system off a cassette that I recorded off the radio.
+Becca Bartelson I'm kinda doubting the "break" was her idea. Breaks happen when you don't have a record company or anyone who will attend your concerts.
Explosive, wonderful version of a Beatles song, that respects the original but is not afraid to add its own inspiration. I must have somehow missed Tiffany at the time as I had not even heard of her, but heard her version of another 60s song on the radio recently 'I think we're alone now' and it has made me want to find out more about her. I am glad I found this.
Tiffany's version of this song is still an unmatched best! It's The Beatles, Joan Jett, and Chuck Berry all rolled into one hell of a Rock N Roll version of this song! Luv it!
When young girls actually respected themselves and dressed appropriate. And actually looked good. The 1980’s was some of the best times. Hands down. 100%
Excelente puesta en escena y version trayendo de vuelta a the beatles, tiffany se gano su lugar en el salon de las mas queridas y recordadas de las exponentes de los 80
