Tiger is a good tank in the hands of a skilled player, otherwise it's an exp piñata. In the old days it had a very great chance to get lit on fire when it was hit in the lower plate, because the game treated the frontal transmission as the engine, so it burned from both the front and the rear.

You guys know Kellys Heroes? Movie with Clint Eastwood, back in the day me and my friends played Tigers and where joking about going in formation like in the movie when the shermans come out of the tunnel and destroy a german outpost. I know we should have played shemans to be accurate but we love the tiger back then :) Fun times :)

As most players, when I started playing WoT, I rushed for the Tiger, because of its legendary status in WW2. Oh boy, was I disappointed in the game when I kept getting blown up when I crossed open fields.

Nothing wrong with the tank, as long as you're in the same level battles or as the top tier. When WG puts you in +2 MM, you realize prety fast how inflexible this tank is. Unfortunately this will happen 90% of times.

Put this gun on the T29 and you have the best Tier 7 ever made. Problem with the tiger is it is amazing against equal tier or lower, but is shredded in seconds if it gets spotted in tier 8 and 9 matches most of the time. Where as tanks like the T29 can just go hull down and even tier 9's will find it hard to dig out.

If you want a faster firing gun, keep the 90mm gun on it. Otherwise, the 105mm is a TIER 8.5 gun, best you will see on a T7 tank

It's gun is good, that's about it. I feel like new players like to go for the tiger first, not knowing it isn't that great overall. Making them usually low skilled crews with inexperienced players. I find them generally easy to deal with.

The Tiger and the Panther were the reason that I started WOT. 8 years later, they are still some of my most played tanks. Having a bad day, Take out the tigger and just go kill things. :)

Hello, baboon lord and everyone 👋 love the community. I remember back in the day when I first started to play WOT, my first tech tree was the Tiger line. It was an exciting experience unlocking the Tiger 1. There are 2 pros for Tiger 1. It has awesome gun and high HP. Cons are obvious, let's face it, the tank has 0 armor whatsoever. Since it has a huge profile, Tier 6's can pen this without any problems whatsoever. If I had to choose between Tiger or IS, I'd definitely choose IS just because of it's alpha damage, trollish armor and better mobility. My opinion of course! ❤

I have only ever played with the Tiger(P), not the Tiger I. I struggled my way through the (P) and hated it when it had stock parts. Now I have maxed it, I honestly don't mind it, so I think I should get the I and compare them.

Absolutely worth it. You will appreciate the extra DPM. Just do not expect to bounce lower tiers like the Tiger P.

I love this tank. I still do horribly in it most of the time since I'm new (gasp-he's new and Tiger 1 is his first tier 7? MADNESS) and haven't memorized the maps yet, but the few exceptional games I've had with it are enough to convince me to keep playing and trying to do better every game. I've already unlocked Tiger 2, but I plan on sticking with the OG until I'm at a competent level, because tier 8 is a different ball game in my experience

I think that you should move up to tier VIII. Matchmaking in tier VII is really pain in the a**. I think that your life will be easier with Tiger II.

I like old 88mm Nearly 5 second reload on my old tiger. I shot my way out of many many sticky situations with that rof.

@@Felixlayer thats no argument for me, the tiger I was one of my most played tanks and i enjoyed it. Got even almost 5k dmg in a tier9 game with my trusty tiger, which is a quite hard feat to accomplish

I had on the isu with the bl10 a reloadtime of 13.92 seconds, this glorious gun was taken and replaced for "balancing". 263, a marvelous tier 10 td with amazing firerate tiered down for a concepttd and got ripped off its mobility and reloadtime. Yeah, thats really a fun game to play, when you cannot enjoy your hard earned tanks anymore, su 100 54 ... got completely removed. Was so freaking mobile it could turn on the spot as fast as a light could circle it, damn shame to wargaming for ruining the fun of odd tankenjoyers and reliable faithful tanks. And dont let me get started on those wheeled tanks and autoreloaders ...

@@aristosachaion_ yeah honestly tiger1 is my favorite tank to meet in enemy team. Even when he goes around the corner his huge auto pen hull makes it easy to take a shot at him and pull back while hes gun is still behind the corner :D

I actually liked my grind with this tank. Although it’s a box, you can kind of use its shape to bounce a fair few shots. If you angle at 30/45 degrees, using the hull like diamond shape facing the enemy it bounces a lot of equal tier shots

Recently went back to play Tiger 1 and now that I’m a decent player it’s the super bomb 💣 bomb 💣. A new player will hate this tank but a good player will love it. Farming potatoes 🥔 is easy. Maybe time to play the Tiger 2 again? Beautiful credit maker these days

Tiger I from tech tree doesn't look historically accurate because of upgraded gun which is longer. Tiger 131 and japanese tiger look like Tiger from WWII. Same story goes with the Panther once you upgrade it

Three tigers in WoT could definitely killed 20 cromwell as well (as long as it plays defensively). As the person above said, the only people who think that Tiger I sucks in WoT are people who don't consider that in WoT Tiger face totally different tanks (Play Tiger 131 for a more historical Tiger experience)

Tiger 1 imo is that good, it rivals T29 in some situations where it is better to have a good DPM instead of alpha (which is not much lower anyway).

What really irks the shit out of me is that the Tiger has been buffed at least 3 times in the last 4 years but the Black Prince only got one(the turret armor buff)and is still stuck with doing 150 damage a shot.....facing tier 9. Would it have been to fucking hard for WGing to just give the Black Prince the 20 Pounder cannon as a firepower upgrade?

Because all the heavies at tier 7 were designed specifically to counter the Tiger, and anyway I prefer it not being op because its high skill floor puts most nubs off.

@@aristosachaion_ That's why tiger should have been tier 5 and fight shermans and t34s regularly. At least that's what the western playerbase wants. Russian playerbase probably doesn't care abour tiger and they're the overwhelming majority.

This weekend I had only one garage slot for a new tank with discount and was doubting: Tiger I or UDES 15/16 ??? I bought the UDES for being better (in its tier), for making bonds and because of the million credits I saved. But this video almost makes me change my mind. Almost. Until I remembered that Tigers have tier 9 battles.

People always told me that Tiger and Tiger P were kinda bad/average tanks but I had a great time in both of them, I'm not a great player so stats wouldn't support that but they are both fun to play

I love this tank. For me it is the best tabk in the World of Tanks. Marked it when the gun had the 240 alpha DMG. I had 5,5 reloadtime. It is not worse right now woth 5,8. 👑

I played with the Tiger 1 before the line was buffed and it was okay until many OP premiums got released down the line and ruined the line for me. God... I remember playing the Tiger 2 pre-buffed back then and all I remember was suffering.

One of my tanks that i play often. Now im fluctuating between 90% to 93% marks of excellence and i somehow stuck at those number. Tiger has 5.5 skilled crew, bounty rammer, bounty aiming unit and bonds vents including chocolate. Im sniping in early to mid game, conserve hit points for late game wipe out. The problem is, sometimes i got bad games when i do 1000 - 1500 dmg which destroys marks... Any advices how to get this last 5%?

I wanted to love this tank, but i found the T150 much better, and then also the Tiger(p). But what put me off the most playing this, was the gun sounded like a childs cap gun playing in the playground, not a big 88mm and this ruined it for me.....the only reason to go up in the tiers is the guns start to sound like real guns!

Skill....you can not have a fail...unless you intentionally make it..battles are won by good players not necessary better tanks...I want to say you a too good player to have shitty games, it can happened but obviously on very rare occasion...Tiger I is excellent tank you said everything about it...I love it....thank you Skill for you content it is very informative and fun...

If used by a competent player, the Tiger I can win 1v1 against most Tier VIII tanks out there due to its health pool and DPM. There is not much more that needs to be said.

Tiger I indeed an epic tank, I remember when I got it I went into the field like a gorilla ramming my chest and realized this is not a heavily armored tank. So I adapted my way of playing and was a semi-sniper-schnitzel and noticed this gun was epic.

I played a battle yesterday with someone in the battle saying the exact same thing. But then the Tiger 131 chimed in, and brought up the fact that there is in fact a t6 tiger 🤔 I mean, I think It's fine, for there are plenty of t9/10 heavies without any armor whatsoever, it's just a different sort of playstyle.

It’s always hard comparing the old girl with say a T29 in this thread. The T29 was designed to take on Tiger B not Tiger E (Tiger 1) so the armour reflects that. So in many ways it’s a testament to the Tiger E that it’s direct competitor in the ‘game’ is a more modern tank designed to take on its replacement. German superior rolled armour doesn’t seem to get an added benefit from the mechanics of the game either.
