This was truly one of the coolest experiences I've ever had in my life. These animals are absolutely magnificent. Tiger Kingdom in Phuket, Thailand is a really AWESOME place.

Most of the animals have been born there and are VERY Comfortable with people. For the most part, they eat chicken twice a day... not people ;-)
The location is pretty close the the "center" of Phuket so it was only about 30-40 minutes from the pier on the east side of the island of Phuket and it is only about 30 minutes from Patong beach which, as most people know, is on the west side of the island and arguably the Most touristy spot in Phuket.
The local neighborhood also allowed us the opportunity to stop and get some street food afterward. I nice contrast in price as opposed on the touristy prices of Tiger Kingdom.
Is it "overpriced"??
No, not really.
When I think about it, I would much rather pay "extra" and have no distracting thoughts about these beautiful animals being even the slightest bit mis-treated.
I can almost guarantee you that these animals are Living The Dream!
All the areas are very clean as are the tigers. The trainers are truly like brothers with these animals - growing up with them every day.
While some of you might think this video is a bit long, I wanted to include as much of the footage that I took so you can get the best idea of what you really get for your money.
Meaning: you will spend maybe an extra 5-10 minutes over the length of this video being with these tigers.
Also, it is VERY SAFE - I have already had folks asking me, "Were you scared?" Honestly, I never felt afraid. I think Gracie was a bit fearful at first but warmed up. I can understand why some might be a bit on edge. These animals weight about 300 pounds (~150 Kg) and basically ALL muscle.

One final thing I will say. No matter HOW good the quality of the video or the photos you might see, there is Nothing like being there and touching the Tigers' fur and feeling their huge paws.

Tigers are one of my favourite animals. They are an incredible creature.Absolutely loving your videos! I was in Phuket recently. Maybe someone is looking for a cheap car now and cannot fly from Phuket, because of COVID-19. I want to recommend and thank the guys from ORANGE CAR PHUKET service. I did not want to take a taxi because of the high cost. On March 15, 2020, I rented two passenger vans Toyota Sienta for 500 baht a day, and it was a great idea. Excellent customer service. The guys were very friendly and helpful and I booked the car easily and quickly. I highly recommend their service and I will definitely contact them again!

Thailand is a cool country to visit, but don’t go to animal entertainment places like ride elephants, zoos to watch shows or even go pet tigers. They treat animals like shit. Elephants are know for symbol of Thailand, but in reality, they are forced and abused to give rides and their lives are inhumane. I hope u guys can reconsider not going back to these places

I really appreciate your message. We were both heart broken and also quite angry to learn the way the elephant "exhibition" places work. Very sad. So, we ONLY do the Elephant "rehabilitation" parks. This specific location: Tiger Kingdom, NOT Tiger Temple, from all of the research we did both before and after indicated that while the animals are in cages, they are born in this environment.. I get it; Just because people were born in jail doesnt mean they should be forced to live in a place. Since this video we have learned a lot. I will say that research and fair care does seem to continue at this location. I live in San Diego, many people believe we have one of the best Zoos in the world. Perhaps... The animals are still in cages.... As you'll note, we've no other videos like this, since then here on the channel. Always learning....

You have a very interesting channel! I love traveling by car. After we with my family spontaneously decided to rent a car for the day I visited The ORANGE CAR PHUKET Phucompany. They are very friendly and just 10 min later I was sitting in a Toyota SIENTA 7 seat for just 600 Bath per day. I definitely recommend rent with the Orange Car Phuket. Great service, honest people and the cars are in good condition!

I recently went here.. its an awsome place.. even i am animal lover but the way they take their care is indeed appreciable !!! All tigers have names and they react twid love the moment they hear their names 😊

@@prernasingla5042 AWESOME!!!! We went to a "zoo" (kinda) in Langkawi last week. It was a real sad sight - tigers passed out behind a pane of glass. I'm stoked I got to hug one! hehe

It looks like you guys are having a great time, I must admit that I feel sorry for the tigers being drugged and put on display, I know it helps the Thai economy but I can't help thinking of all the drugged up people I roust out of there particular slumber , the only difference is the tigers are much more polite lol, anyway I love the channel and all the videos I hope you always find the time, the right roads, and thecraftspeople for your adventures, blessing to you and your lady

thanks for watching and commenting! I'm honored. note: The tigers are not drugged. Realize that these animals normally "sleep" (rest) during the day... Their lethargic behavior could possibly indicate your assessment. I get it... What I found interesting (and actually quite refreshing) was that most of them are born there. So, while their DNA and evolution still dictates much of their behavior they are pretty well taken care of.. Still, the whole "spending your life in a cage"-thing is a bit of a bummer but I guess that's the over arching bummer with all zoos, eh?

appreciate the comment. I think you might be confusing this facility in Phuket with the one near Kanchanaburi. I have never been to Tiger Temple. Regardless I also go to SeaWorld in San Diego where they reportedly do not necessarily treat their animals well (e.g. Shamu). Like our experience at Tiger Kingdom, all I can report is that while we were there I observed no maltreatment. I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm not saying it does. Overall, I'm not a big fan of putting any animal in any "zoo" scenario whereby we two legged leaders exert our Darwinian superiority by manipulation. That said, I am imperfect in my behaviors. Sometimes, I also purchase cheaper goods even after seeing a 60 Minutes report that factories full of Chinese workers sit crouched over a table for 12 hours had assembled it... I am also not in agreement with 100% of PETA nor Greenpeace's behaviors. Its an imperfect world, I'm just trying to enjoy it as best I can. From you post it sounds like your data that you gathered first-hand keeps you from going to these facilities. Good on you for setting a healthy boundary. Hope some of my other videos add value.

Hehe. There is a ton of instruction. I recommend getting there early. That way, the animals are less distracted by other people. Note: if you go in with the baby tigers, it's basically like hanging out with a big cat... But it's the most expensive and quite frankly I don't think it has the impact of the big ones.
