I'm a big Hackett & Genesis fan and never heard anyone cover their songs with so much feeling & your singing and playing on all your instruments and your own songwriting is amazing. Much respect my friend.
The more I hear Peter Jones he just gets better and better what a talented guy and what a breath of fresh air in the industry. He is as good as anyone out there at the moment and deserves to be a big star.
I was first through the door when Camel made their comeback in 2013 at Harrogate. I saw him in Harrogate earlier in the day but did not feel that he would wish to be accosted by a stranger! I was in tears when Andy came on stage (and I'm over 60!) because he is simply my musical hero. I was so pleased that he got Pete on board, because he's an incredible talent.
God knows I love the original version of this song but he absolutely breathes new life into it. He reaches an emotional place that is astounding. Well, well, well, done.
You're a genius Pete. Glorious in everything you do. What an inspiration. I watched you with Camel and didn't even realise you were blind. Absolutely amazing. I am so full of admiration. Bloody brilliant.
This is such a wonderful and beautiful rendition and without a doubt this young man is superbly talented. How often do we see such talents that are so fantastic, but little known vs the commercial rubbish that is so popular with the world! I for one am a happier person today for having listened to this. The places this song used to send me too … sunlight streaming through the kitchen window diffused by flowers on the window sill in a country cottage in some rural setting near big open fields maybe in Dorset … a beautiful woman dressed in 19th century farm girl … walking at sunset hand in hand with her over a path that runs through a field of hayricks awaiting collection and walking to a glade …. Smell of sweet earth damped earthy smells and scent of flowers and long summer shadows… ahh to be trapped in that eternal magical age of youth with your first live and everything laid out in the future blissfully ignorant in how quickly youth is stolen.
Gutted that I missed Pete play this song at an impromptu session at King Place, London last month before the Big Big Train gig. But so pleased that I've discovered the man and his music. A stupendous talent.
I first heard The Musical Box as a wee lad in 1973 and to this day it remains my favourite song of all time. You're rendition is so amazing, it brought tears. Thank you, Pete.
I would be amazed if this gentleman could see: that he can't is incredible. Such a voice, such delightful guitar! I looked him up after watching him cover Steve Hackett's solo on "Spectral Mornings" with Magenta, and do it BRILLIANTLY! And such emotion, he performs from the heart. He has gained another fan. It is perhaps fitting that I have discovered this wonderful multi-instrumentalist just as word of Ian McDonald's passing has surfaced. Go with God, Peter!
Stunning, absolutely stunning! I have to admit I wasn't aware of Pete until I found out he was joining Camel. What a coup for Camel and all Camel fans, that is. This is a fine and moving version of Musical Box and this comes from a devout Genesis fan so NICE ONE Pete!
I have no words to say how much this affected me. To think the legacy of Genesis.Hackett & co will live on with a guy like this who respects the genius of the song writer of this wonderful material with the genius of his own talent to create more astounding music, thank you Peter Jones you wonderful man.
This man is amazing. He tapped right into the heart and soul of this song, stripping it back to the bare essentials and breathing so much fresh life into this gorgeous piece of music. Simply stunning.
Stunning version of this beautiful song my friend ! ........I urge anyone reading this to purchase a copy of Petes album 'COCOON', it's one of the finest albums I have bought in many years !!!! ......& to find out that he recorded it all on a Tascam 8 track is unbelievable ! ......this guy is something special in my opinion.
Pete sang this beautiful song last weekend in Bilston as part of an acoustic set. A fantastic performance which really got to me - had to fight the tears back.

Just picked up Camel's RAH blu-ray and that's how I became acquainted with Pete Jones. I'm in the US and had never heard of him before. This performance along with the Camel show, are just incredible. I'll be looking into his own material. :)
I'm a Nottingham lad, went from yes (wondrous stories) to Magenta (same song) to you. Astonished by your talent. Ps saw Camel years ago in Leicester. Keep up the good work love listening to you.
Dear Pete. You have all my deepest respect. I discovered your voice during a Camel session and .. well I said … what a great soul behind the song. After that I started a list with as much of your work.
WHAT A VOICE ! Loved this. Pete, you need to get up on stage with Steve Hackett. I think you could do killer vocals on Genesis songs like Carpet Crawlers, Entangled, Ripples, Blood On The Rooftops, Afterglow.
Beyond his undoubted talent as a producer of original music, his interpretations of classic Genesis material are sublime. Well done Peter, always a pleasure.
