I do a lot of ice fishing living in Michigan, but one thing I will not do is freeze in my shanty. Get yourself a little green gas tank that screws onto your burner and light that up inside the shanty with the window cracked ,and your shanty will stay super warm. No need freezing when you don’t have too. 👊🏻😎
Absolutely love what you're doing man give you any ideas Try doing some 24 hour 48 hour. E only what you catch on the ice camp and see how good it turns out. Just make sure you have a cot an a heater
Glad you ended up getting into them a little later. Some decent fish. They do get bigger, but there are a ton of dinks to weed through, depending on the area. I'm also glad the fish you kept was a tasty one with good flesh.
When I went there the first time we found a honey whole but kind of a trek to walk when we went there a couple weeks ago we fished near you only caught 1 dink but going there tomorrow hope we do good
Where are you at, brother? Area looks beautiful and you're always secretive. (Which I respect) but man, that's a nice looking area and I wanna be there! (I'm local)
@@JC_Outdoors Anything I'm reading shows this species to be endangered and with a very controlled fishery. Even if catch and keep was legal in a few places, why would anyone?
@@RideAcrossTheRiver they stock multiple waters here in Az with tons of Gilas with the sole purpose of people catching them to eat. Other waters are protected for wild Gilas and you cant keep those.
