This video leaves out so much about the hunt for the Champawat tiger. I’d recommend anyone who’s interested to read Jim Corbett’s diaries detailing his hunts for maneaters. There are very few books that actually scared me and his definitely did.

actually, the masks on the back of villagers heads did work for a substantial amount of time, but tigers are extremely intelligent animals. Tigers don't care if humans are in a group or alone. They aren't scared of us after they turn maneaters. They know we are food and really helpless in front of their prowess. I'm an Indian and my home state has the powerful Royal Bengal Tigers in Sundarban region. The really poor village folk go into those forests either to fish or to collect honey, as a big group. Nothing stops those tigers from killing humans if they decide to eat.

I'd just like to take a minute to say that Irish boy Corbett or whatever is a total boss for his hunting terms. Dude didn't want to get capped, which is understandable, but also, a hunting conservationist in early 1900s. He didn't want innocent tigers to get capped for the things the manhunter was doing.
