Hi Chris. As our R&D Manager, Daren is giving general guidance for artificial grass installation through these videos. Although we are a manufacturer, TigerTurf EMEA works with an excellent network of installers throughout our regions who we can easily put customers in touch with. Happy New Year. Kind regards, Amii
Hi good video, it would have been good to show the use of the other small glue applicator. Also have you done a video of removing deep moss, ive been told not too water blast? I also find that stiff broom didnt do much either, Is there a safe chemical I can use on it? Many thanks Joe
Hi Joe. The smaller glue applicator is simply a cartridge and silicon gun, but your comments will be taken into account when we look to update the videos. We haven't got a video about moss removal but you're correct in that water blasting the surface isn't a good idea as it may also remove the infill. The best option is to use a chemical product called MossGo Pro (with no more than an 8.2pH balance). If you have any further questions, please feel free to drop us an email to UKinfo@tigerturf.com. Kind regards, Amii
I am considering laying artificial grass on the concrete surrounding 3 sides of my swimming pool. the best fit will be using a 4m x 13m roll. one half of the pool is half the shape of a figure 8. Aprox 1.4 to 2m will lie across the water if piece is layed in place. Question - how to cut the shapes of the figure 8 . What is the trick of cutting across the seams without fraying the material. Is it ok to cut through grass side ?
Hello! The lifespan will depend on product usage and how well (or not) it is looked after and maintained. Our landscape products have a 10-year UV guarantee. The installation guarantee/warranty would be set by the installer. Regards, Amii
hi. I want to lay the grass down and then add stepping stones, what is the best way to secure the edge around the stepping stones as the ones I'm buying are not straight edges? many thanks
Hi David. If the stepping stones are laid in such a way that they protrude the top of the pile by at least 10mm, then there may not need to be any need to secure the turf (as long as the slabs are under 300mm circumference). However, if you do feel that there is a need to secure them, this can be done by putting a layer of concrete around the slab to the same level as the base of the slab - once this has dried, you can secure the turf to this concrete overlay using joining adhesive. Hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please feel free to send us an email to UKmarketing@tigerturf.com Kind regards, Amii
What is the procedure to lay artificial grass directly onto a large decking area (24 square metres). Is it required or is it essential to infill sand when grass is laid ?
Hi Alan. To lay artificial grass onto decking, you'll need to board the full surface so the gaps between the decking can be bridged - this can be done with a waterproof drainage board or a porous rubber pad. We do also recommend a sand infill with all of our landscape products. Kind regards, Amii
hi, on this video stage 7. it looks like you are installing on a bank. would there be a problem over time with the sand shifting to the bottom? i am asking as i intend to install in my back garden with a slope
Hi Dave. Infill will migrate so yes, if the garden has a severe slope, you are likely to have movement of sand over time. This can be minimised and any migrated sand re-distributed by brushing the surface with a stiff broom, which we recommend doing as part of your regular maintenance regime anyway. Regards, Amii
Just wondering if anyone has any tips, i'm planing to install my grass on stone chipping. I have two solid patio edges and i was going to leave a stone boarder around the other two edges, would i need to build a timber frame for these or not? Thanks :)
Hi Zoe, thanks for watching. By the sounds of it you may need to build a timber frame just to ensure the grass is fixed securely. If we can help with anything else, you can reach us on UKinfo@tigerturf.com. Thanks!
Im gutted ive only just found this vide now. We have made our border out of sleepers as i was under the impression its purpose was to stop the aggregate from moving i didn’t realise it was for the fastening part to, i just assumed the pegs i have purchased went into the ground. Can i still do it this way
TigerTurf EMEA hello. I have now fitted a timber frame and will fasten the grass to that. Ive watched so many vids yours is by far the best and most i formative
TigerTurf EMEA hi again. We done everything correctly we used mot base wackered it over and over installed membrane used limestone dust instead of sand wackered it down. Had it flat and level and firm. Laid the lawn perfectly yesterday. Walking on it. Playing on it. Rained last night and now in a few spaces the limestone is sinking. What should i do.
@@stevenpanter46 Hi Pat, fill the spaces with the sand/stone again if you can and wack down again. I think we're due some good weather this week but try and get the weed membrane and grass down as soon as possible once you have a flat surface. Thanks again for watching.
TigerTurf EMEA gonna get some more sand down today and wacker by hand. Did the rain after laying play a part in this. Also is silver sand the same as silica sand for the top
Hi Grant. Apologies for the delay in replying. Yes, you can install onto concrete - you'd probably want to spot-fix the grass with adhesive though to prevent any movement. Drop us a line to UKinfo@tigerturf.com if you have any further questions. Kind regards, Amii
Hi Michael. We manufacture and supply product throughout EMEA. If you are looking for a TigerTurf landscape installer in your area, please contact the team at Greenfingers/The Grass Centre: www.thegrasscentre.co.uk/ Kind regards, Amii
Keep the lawn clean of dead leaves. If that doesn't work you can either cover the whole area with thick black plastic for 2 weeks or apply a weed killer. Just be sure to wash off the lawn after the weedkiller has done its job.

You can turn on captions if you're not able to understand him. Personally, I had no problem understanding him and found the video to be a very good guide.
