Hi folks!
Welcome to what I believe is my first video demo-ing a guitar pedal - the ELECTRIC EYE AUDIO MUDKILLER!
This pedal can insanely tighten up the low-end of flubby amplifiers and sounds great, is boasting of features and is looks also awesome!
Electric Eye Audio is a small company founded by Silas, who also has an amazing ear review/music channel: ‪@silascf‬
Playing and tweaking starts around 06:57 onward.

How do you like it compared to a regular overdrive pedal(without the overdrive(to clean up the bottom end))?

I'll compare it to the Maxon OD808, since that's the most known. When I am comparing the Mudkiller in the configuration which I like it - with the Pre-Gain off, and basically only using the tone shaping as well as the Post volume, and therefore compensating by pushing the amps gain quite a bit higher than I usually would do on a Maxon OD808 - then I like it way more to clean up the bottom end. I think especially boomy amplifiers can highly benefit from this pedal. It still retains a certain aggresion to it, which for example the MXR M77 (Custom Badass Modified O.D) does not have, when dialing in back the 100Hz knob. I personally think in that configuration it's a perfect thing between a TC Preamp inspired thing like a Dirty Tree and a Maxon OD808. Where the Dirty Tree is too clanky and scratchy, and the Maxon OD808 is too boomy, this pedal will fit perfectly in. Definitely worth adding to the pedal collection! 🙂
