How To Do A Gas Tightness Test using a Flue Gas Analyser. Gas Training. Using a Kane 358 Flue Gas Analyser to do a Tightness Test. Test for Gas Soundness at a meter
Your are a legend and true hero. Always humble and helpful. You are doing so much for the industry especially for new comers That blue t piece is really good. I think it is called Anton APRV pressure relief valve. Regards
Thanks Allen. Analyser looks great. When is it required to have the room co test function on an analyser? Do you think the room co test function will be mandatory in the future to carry out in situations?
I’ve used it twice recently on my Anton. Both times to show customers that their boilers weren’t leaking CO into their rooms. The boilers had of course passed smoke pellet flue tests.
Room CO tests are carried check O/F, F/L or R/S appliances aren't leaking pocs. Basically if your analyser has this function. You as an engineer can safely monitor CO as your FGA has an inbuilt alarm which pre warns you that dangerous levels of CO are present in the room vacinty. The permissible levels of CO will differ from appliance to appliance. Refer to mi's or your training manuals Generally if you encounter signs of spillage on O/F, F/L or R/S appliances. Or for example if a customer complains of any CO poisoning symptoms/ if their CO alarm has been going off whilst appliance in operation. It's advisable to carry out room CO tests.
I cannot remember. This looks a bit like it though. www.corgi-direct.com/anton-pressure-relief-valve-18-3420799?GoogleBase&GB&GoogleBase&gclid=CjwKCAjw8cCGBhB6EiwAgOReywh3D5ZYbxM1zZZXJBkGxYTpPUD4pzRUpW826LAa0UiAL7O0TacUHhoCBgcQAvD_BwE
The gas installation is normally allowed 4mb drop, Depending on meter, Appliances connected etc, This is something you would need to check for your own circumstances. Thanks.
