Im very well informed on training protocols and know many current athletes, names that you would instantly recognize. Just few years ago a doctor told she might not be able to wallk agian much less compete at the highest levels because of nasty tendon injuries..now look at her .. tearing up the road races back to back .. ...her strides are so smooth and powerful ..way to go Tigist!
When they got to the medals ceremony all the other 5 winners climbed on to the podium with some difficulties. Obviously suffering from pain that comes after marathon run. She hoped onto the podium Like she just came from yoga class😊

Women's distance world records have been plummeting recently. Might we see a sub-2:10 before too long?? Obviously it's still almost another 2 minutes away, but with how this record in particular has been exploding, who knows what's on the horizon?

@darelet The shoes help her run faster on the day, absolutely, but honestly I'm not sure that it accounts for quite that large a margin. But, in a way, I think the shoes did help her drop the time so significantly in a different way, which is help her stay fresher and recover faster in her training, which allows athletes to run quality workouts more frequently. Many athletes haves attested to this. So yeah in a way you're probably right that the shoes had a LOT to do with it, if we take into account both ways in which they're helping.
