Tijuana is a vibrant city located in the Baja California region of Mexico, just across the US-Mexico border near San Diego, California.
Tijuana was initially a small settlement that gained prominence in the early 20th century with the development of the border crossing at San Ysidro.
Today it is home to some of the best nightlife south of the border.

Love how the Tijuana taxi drivers never miss a chance to rip off visiting gringos. Those $8+ rides to Zona or downtown only cost the locals 70 pesos or around $4.

yeah true but I mean in 2020 $1 usd was worth $24 pesos and now it is worth $17 pesos. its not the taxi guys fault that the US dollar has been crumbling for the last 4 years. also that $4 or $5 isn't really going to make a difference for me, just get me there safely lol

I heard there’s a shuttle that takes you to Hong Kong right there as your crossing over it’s literally a little designated spot

There is, but they usually wait for it to fill up before they go. It’s much easier and faster for me to get in a cab and go. but the shuttle is a good option if you don’t mind waiting a little.

Did they search you or stop you before crossing inside thru the scanning machines?

no, they only do that if you have a backpack or a bigger bag. if you have a shoulder bag like I did you can just walk around the scan machines. but a couple of times they have asked me to open the shoulder bag so they can look inside. I might make a video on this topic.. thanks for the idea

How long does it take get back through the border from Tijuana?

Depends on the time. From 5am to 9pm it is around 2 hours. From 9pm to 10pm it is around 45 mins. From 10pm to 5am it is 5-10 mins.

The two Australians and one American that were murdered recently thought it was all good and safe as well, granted that was Ensenada, but still, everything is always cool and safe up until the point you get murdered. Stay vigilant, Enjoyed the video.

327 people were murdered in Los Angeles, California last year. People still think its all good and safe enough to live here. You should be vigilant at all times, no matter where you are in the world. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Why not just use the free Hong Kong shuttle and pay a couple bucks for tip?

Because they usually wait until the shuttle fills up before they go. When I first get to tj the last thing I want to do is sit in a shuttle for 15 mins waiting for more people. I just get in the cab and get there in 5 mins. I take the shuttle going back to the border tho
