Tikka T3x Super Varmint Cerakote 

I love Tikka. I think though if you had a dot on the gong to give you a small aim point, the groups might have been tighter.

My god, I love this. It looks amazing. I'm just in the process of applying for my licence in Australia and I'm thinking I want one of these in the Roughtech Green in 308. Shame the Australian Government have an irrational fear of suppressors, they would be very practical in terms of keeping the volume level down a bit and save everyone's ears. Not surprised about the results with the 95gr VMAX. My T3x Varmint in 6.5CM doesn't shoot them well either. But it does shoot just about every other weight bullet exceptionally well especially Federal GMM 140gr SMK's. I've managed 0.330" and 1.65" groups (5-shot) at 100 and 200 yards respectively with that rifle/round. Any idea of when this rifle will hit the US?

Several years ago I bought the Savage BA Stealth in 6.5 creedmore. It LOVES the 140gr Winchester super match ammo. Before settling on that ammo I had tried several various Hornady loads of lighter grain bullets which performed very poorly in my Savage rifle. So I am wondering if there is any rifle in 6.5 creedmore that holds sub MOA using less than 140gr bullets. Inquiring minds want to know... BTW I am planning on buying the Tika T3X super varmint variation very soon. I don't "need" it - but what does than have to do with it? ha!

How was wing at target @300yds? That was a wide group on that size silhouette target. I was figuring 4-5" group max...with factory ammo

What is the twist rate for 308 win? And does it fit into chassis systems like the CTR does?

Tikka claims this is a 1 MOA gun, but the group on the silhouette target was more like 20" rather than 3"...and it was fired from an very stable benchrest. Can someone help me understand why the group was so wide on the 300 yrd target?

I would have liked to see a precision target at 300 yards and see the grouping of your 2 best loads. I am a hunter and usually do all my grouping at 200 yards, most of my shots are between 150 to 300 yards max. I find for my needs 200 yards tell me if I will use that load for hunting or not. I no longer buy guns with Cerakote. I have 6 rifles and 4 pistols with Cerakote. On none of them has the Cerakote held up. On my Weatherby Vanguard Badlands, the Cerakote failed from simply rubbing against the soft foam in a hardshell gun case, sitting in my truck on the way to and from hunting. My Sig AXG Scorpion, Cerakote failed immediately from holster wear. My other Cerakote guns have similar issues. Passing on all future Cerakote issues.

Should try laying down on the ground with some proper bags, those sleds mess with the harmonics Ive found. I threw mine in the garbage after I realized they do nothing but damage stocks and give bogus groupings for developing

Did you actually chronograph the ammunition in THIS rifle or just print quoted figures from the box? As for others, What's the point of a short barrelled 22-250? As for the rest.........

I'm surprised by those groups. My CTR shoots < 0.5 MOA on average for 5-shot groups with 140 grain ELD-Ms. Maybe it just didn't like the ammo.

Would have expected much better accuracy from this Tikka. Based on your results I wouldn't be rushing out to drop some cash on this particular rifle.

Firstly I love tikka. Especially the super varmint. I’ve had several. Secondly I’d rather say what I don’t like rather than just giving a thumbs down 👎. So here it goes. Get rid of that stupid rest you are using. It obviously didn’t do anything for the groups and just makes you look foolish. A bipod and rear bag is all you need and what most people use Big announcement the stock is now green and we painted the barrelled action. This should be just optional extras. It hardly deserves the big announcement status. There should be 24” options for the other calibers. 20” Is fine but an option for 24 would be better. My tikka Tac is 20” and I love it. But an option for 24 would be appreciated

Sorry lad i own a tikka t3x A1 and a super varmint in 308 cal and i can group 5 shots in less then 3" at 300m get rid of your fancy gun sled stick on a decent bipod and keep 2 hands on the gun keep both eyes 👀 open and you will find your groups get a lot tighter the 6.5 Creedmore should be even tighter because it has a better ballistic coefficient i wish you the best in the future practice makes perfect 👍

Honestly... That's thoroughly unimpressive for a £1950 rifle. Looks like it's a bunch of cosmetics to woo the easily convinced but in reality it seems to offer little ergonomic functionality over the cheaper Tikka options (No adjustment of the length of pull, no adjustment of the buttpad position and the cheek pad looks like it's limited to one direction of travel as well - plus the massive screw knob looks quite uncomfortable for a lefthanded shooter). Also there's really just a lack of information here. What are the individual trigger weights and distances? What is adjustable by the end user and if it is, what's the adjustment range? Just how sturdy are the swappable grip elements? Concerning the stock, I can see two sling swivels - what attachement system is being used here? 5 round groups from a test machine and you already want to discard "flyers"? Sorry but that's just misleading and bad practice - you don't even know if those are flyers as you don't have enough data points to conclude that. The vertical dispersion on the 362 yard target is horrendous, much worse than what your 100 yard dispersion testing would suggest. Something seems to be fundamentally off with your testing method there.

Too bad my current tikka won't shoot worth a darn.
