n0x InferuS some incels have a strange obsession with Alexandra Cortez, who is a young female congresswoman popular among kids (she used to work as a bartender). There's a running gag that the alt right have a weird creepy obsession with her, because of her looks, that I thought was just name-calling. But the fact that this dude couldn't resist mentioning a random congresswoman out in an otherwise informative video kinda proves that point.

I added the 150.81 and the tips, and then divided that number by 70.8, and turns out she's only making $12.13 dollars an hour, which is starvation wages, she has every right to complain that she's not making at least $15 an hour. @FarmhouseFelts
@FarmhouseFelts 3 года назад
Exactly. I used to work in a bar and some of the waitresses used to do this. They would claim only a small percentage of their cash tips. This girl is so full of shit. If you’re a decent waitress, you can make a pretty good living on the tips. I would average anywhere from $50-100 in tips on an average night. Good nights I’d take home closer to $200. Every week I’d make at least $400-500.. sometimes even over $1000 in tips alone. There’s no way she only made $700 in 2 weeks on tips. Unless she works at the slowest restaurant with bad tippers.

Granted, that was before I had kids, but still. 70 hours in 2 weeks is easy compared to that. And on a crab boat, if you ain’t catching crab, you ain’t making 💩. @inahokaizuka4337
@inahokaizuka4337 3 года назад
The intresting thing is that if she worked about 70 hours over TWO weeks, that means, assuming that she worked five days per week, , she worked about seven hours per day. After, all, 5x2=10. 70/10=7. Therefore, she worked less than someone with a standard 9 to 5 job, which is 8 hours per day. So in terms of hours worked per day of work, she's probably not working that much compared to many people. She seems to be presenting the fact that she worked like this in a misleading way to cause people to view her as a harder worker than she truly is.

You had to take it by your 5th hour, because walmart got into trouble for making people work through their lunches. They made their poor practices your problem. If you went over 40 hours they got shitty with you. They never wanted to time pay over(outside of special circumstances.Like around Xmas.), but they wanted to magically get everything done with in the time you had, as you were doing 2-3 people's jobs. We'd say 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people. The people who sucked at their jobs seemed to rarely have anything said to them, but the people like myself who really worked, they would always come down on us hard. People noticed when i took a day off or was on vacation. My time felt like a pay check already spent when I walked into work, as I felt like I could work till midnight and still not have gotten enough done. Everyone knew I worked harder, as even the customers knew to ask for me. If you played the drinking game, how many times you heard the word Mike over the walki...you'd die of alcohol poisoning. I was really freaking good at my job, but the fools would promote me any higher. Infact I got a new manager who wanted to demote, so I left. I was a superviser trying move to an assistant manager, and this clown wanted to install his people after his store closed down. Even the people who used to work with his people were confused, as they're like Mike you work so much harder that this girl does who they wanted to give my job to. I did other things like work for the movie industry for two years(I put the Batsignal on top of the London House in downtown chicago.) and now I work for the government, so it's not all bad. My mother worked in food service her whole life. She could do EVERY job, including upper management. She PREFERRED working as a waitress because she made more through her tips than she did as a salaried employee! The reason you want to fully report your tips is so your social security can figured appropriately. If you don’t report them, your social security will be LOWER than it should be. Also, you can have your employer take out MORE money than they normally do. If you have two jobs (or are a working couple), you need to have your employer take out more for both federal and state taxes. The first time I had two different employers, I ended up owing state taxes. Thank G-d it wasn’t much because I never claimed dependents, but I learned my lesson after that. I had my 2nd employer take out additional taxes so I didn’t owe them.

For me.... it's $100. Don't touch it during the year. If you owe taxes you have it.... plus it made interest. Next year add to it. I did that for 5 years. I've let that acct earn interest. Only had to touch it one time. It's there if I need it. And it's gained interest! Our federal, state and county returns go straight into our IRA. as well as quarterly bonuses we make. We also put 20% from each check into our savings as tho it is a bill. Don't drive brand new vehicles either. Ours are 5 years old but maintained well. Taught all this to my boys as well.
