I’ve been trying to learn how to make more homemade food recipe and I’m quickly learning that while most food can technically be eaten any time of year a lot of people really care about seasons and optimum timing to use certain ingredients and this means that there’s some garunteed trends like tomato season and pumpkin season in places like the US or mango season in India and then there’s also just time the common climate means food will be more enjoyable to eat or make in certain weather. It’s not impossible they all just follow their area’s or online social circles trends consciously or subconsciously. Regardless this is nothing compared to the countless AI slop channels that regurgitate SEO optimised nonsense and if I was a food creator and I had to worry about all my fresh in season perishables I spend all year producing being used or preserves AND not sharing common ingredients or themes with anyone who might have a crossover audience to often I’d have a breakdown after a few weeks. Like both keeping an eye on competitors to not overlap but also not getting inspiration takes so many foods of the table because cultures cuisines tend to revolve around what food was common in the area at a time of year.
