Do you create tiktok titles that are entirely hashtags # or do you enter your niche or subject matter as main keyword first then enter hashtag keywords afterwards?
I've been unsure about TikTok for years. It's difficult to trust it as they are very honest that they can access tons of data on your devices. It makes me uncomfortable, but I'm still curious about it. Do you have any thoughts on the security of TikTok?
I am a complete beginner at TikTok, but I have a concern. How do I keep super aggressive, foul posts from jumping in my face? It's what's kept me off the platform. I'm not a prude, I drop the F bomb all the time, but I'm talking about the spirit of things--mean, foul, misogynistic, really unpleasant stuff. How do I filter that out?
When you first join TikTok, it doesn't know anything about you, so it shows you a wide range of videos to gage what you like and what you don't like. If you see a video you like, hit the like button to tell the algorithm to show you similar content. If you see a video you don't like, don't engage with it. It might be tempting to leave a comment on misogynistic stuff, but if you do TikTok will think you like that type of content. So yeah, the more you use it, the more it'll know what you like.
Tina, The tiktok algorithm will do it's best to only send things to you that you appear to appreciate. So, you can control, to an extent, what it sends you on your "For you" page. Don't watch the things you don't like, and certainly don't "like" them. "Like" the things you appreciate, and tiktok will send you more of these. You'll still see some things you don't appreciate, but it'll decrease, and pretty quickly.
TikTok has a much wider audience than you might think. Absolutely not exclusive to YA, and based on how you tailor your content, the algorithm will put in you in front of the right audience.
